Indeed. Birthdays, rare nights in town with mates and other special occasions still raise the average a bit.

It's time for me to test myself!

Based on your Responses:
It is likely that your current drinking patterns are hazardous or harmful to your health and well being. Your responses to the AUDIT (Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test) are in a range believed to be consistent with problems related to drinking. However, the AUDIT cannot diagnose any condition or tell you for certain if alcohol use is harming your health; rather, it is a screening test to determine the likelihood of problematic drinking, and thus whether you should seek further evaluation.

Many people are not aware of how their alcohol consumption compares to that of the general public. More than 96.5% of the general adult American population and 94% of men consume fewer drinks per week than you reported consuming.

Recommended Action:
Because your results indicate that your drinking patterns may be hazardous or harmful, consider seeking further evaluation from your doctor or other qualified health professional, who can help you determine if your alcohol consumption is adversely affecting your health or interfering with your work and relationships. You may also want to learn more about health problems related to drinking and ways to reduce your risk. The links below will assist you in locating a local health professional for further assistance, and in making well informed health decisions about alcohol.

Well....I still think, that I don't have a problem!...I just love beer!

I told you so PiksS. Am I right or am I right.

We have the same result but your percentage is even higher than mine.

Guess it takes one to know one. :|

The test isn't going to crush my friendship with beer!....

Well, the test results actually state that they do not diagnose alcoholism but rather compare your results to existing data and make a recommendation if you fit a particular pattern.

I got a pretty bad result...

I make my own beer at home, so a lot of the time Ill have a couple beers before bed. I dont think it liked me drinking 4 times a week...

Thu May 29, 2008 6:35 pm

PiksS still have a higher percentage than you so don't feel bad.

Fri May 30, 2008 3:28 pm

But then there's also research that suggets it's not unhealthy to enjoy an alcoholic drink every day, whether it be a glass of wine or one beer. Admittedly this is an unschooled opinion but it seems to me if you have a beer with dinner after work three or four times a week it doesn't fallen into a hazardous pattern. The test is somewhat black and white in that regard which is why it bills itself as a recommendation rather than a true diagnosis.

yeah i want all you guys to notice something too: its based on American standards. Honestly? we're pussies about drinking. "You can die in a war and vote for the running of the country, but mature enough to drink? get the fuck out of here!" is kinda the philosophy of alot of people over here. I wonder if we got Australian, Filipino, or Latvian data if you guys wouldnt have such high percentages

I think it would be about the same. Even taking cultural differences into account, alcohol is alcohol and behaviour such as binge drinking or dependance on alcohol are going to be areas of concern.

In my opinion, it wouldn't be the same, just think about countries like Russia and their wodka drinking, or Germany. And of course Latvia...the only country in which beer is much cheaper than water, and everybody who wants to get wasted comes to Latvia (beer 1,40 euros in a pub, 0.50 euros in a store. 2,80 euros 0,5 wodka in a store, 1,50 one shot of wodka in a store, and at some places you can get 1litre of beer for only 0,70 euros, and one shot of wodka only for 0,35 euros), like the UK sex tourists, great sponcors by the way, yesterday saw like 6 drunk sex tourists, and they asked me, where they could find some bitches, since they were wasted to early, they bouth me couple of beers and shots......I ended up sleaping in a stairway!....my head is just killing me!

I don't think thats healthy, like Mikki Moore said, " It's not where you are now, it's where you want to end up. " Right now you can be the top scorer and all that, but how long will it last ? Hm..

Not this subject again, we all agreed, that i'm a mournful guy....you don't need to prove nothing!.....and by the way, I don't care that much about basketball anymore!...it has become boring to me, i need a brake from it...i just play for the money!
Off-topic, just checked my wallet, looks like i went to a casino also.....from the 7euros which i won for drinking a beer in 6sec, now i have 70euros! and my rib is hurting, which could mean that the bodyguard throwed me out of the club!.....and my voice sounds like a chainsaw!
