No offense Gonzo, but how do you work the pedals?

Mon Aug 25, 2008 9:34 am

sea turtles mate.

Actually nah i get some hand controls that basically i do motorcycle throttle for gas and push forward for brake. Its a pretty sweet system.

Mon Aug 25, 2008 9:56 am

Maybe take a pic or something of the system? Sounds pretty cool to have something like that inside a car.

Mon Aug 25, 2008 9:58 am

Nice, sweet indeed.
But not as sweet as them sea turtles.

Mon Aug 25, 2008 11:01 am

The important question is, when will you have that cute haircut again Gonzo?
The craziness of youth.

EDIT: Saw the video's comments:
you guys, he was never dancing to this song, he was dancing to ludacris - rollout. the COOLER SONG :D

Gonzo is gangsta.

Illi, I have a guy at work that facially looks exactly like you. Except he has a beard, don't know if you do too.

He's a great fellow though, always calm and actually laughs at the crazy disturbing shit I pass off as jokes. I think that's why I like you, he reminds me of you.

I've seen that MTV thing before...atleast I think I've seen that video before.

Fri Aug 29, 2008 7:40 pm

Cool addition to the car.

My gf's accountant's car is set up the same way. Not sure if it's the same here as it is in the States, but do you have to pay for that to be installed or is it covered?

I actually do now. Remember, that was 6 years ago, in high school around here the only guys with facial hair are delinquent....

Cy, unfortunately adaptations come out of your pocket which makes buying a car just that much more expensive. With all the parts salvage out of my own car it still ran me a couple thousand bucks just for the labor. It's a racket. Luckily, the car companies have started giving rebates on it to entice people to buy their cars.

Awesome, now you really remind me of him.

I don't have a car yet, since I can't get my license until I'm 18 and my scooter died a year ago but I was planning on importing something from the US.

I don't really like what Europe offers in terms of cars, especially since I grew up surrounded by Ford Falcons and Chevrolet Chevelles. Also, I'm not really fond of those shiny, brand-new, tiny-ass SUVs and pick-up trucks they've got over here. Again, my dad and grandpa have always owned F-100s, Fargo trucks and those huge-ass MB buses, so I'm not really used to "small and efficient."

So I was thinking, since importing something relatively new from the US is going to cost me a fortune, considering 21% VAT, other taxes, duties and customs, I was thinking of getting a classic car. I wouldn't pay VAT or taxes on any car that's twenty years old or older. What do you guys suggest I get? I was thinking either a Mustang or a Trans Am. My dad suggested an Argentine Ford Fairlane, but I'm not sure if it's possible and/or safe to import from there. Anyway, I'm open to any ideas.

On a side note, I drove a 1957 MB L-312 truck yesterday and god, it was so fucking cool. I've driven old trucks and buses before, but this thing was just amazing. It was a semi-trailer but I swear, it felt like driving a compact car. What's the best car you guys have driven? For me it's a tie between this and my dad's '78 F-100.
