Who needs to stop making it into such a big deal again??

You're telling me that without the hype train that's been running for months, you'd have said anything to this effect? Please, spare me.

You are too much. Yes, I would have said that without the hype. Its the same thing I said for Freddy vs. Jason, Jason X (Jason in space ) Lost in Space, Like Mike and other bad, bad movies that were extremely funny.

SoaP was worse and funnier then all b-horror movies I've ever seen.

I'm sorry I didn't leave the theater saying "now that's just silly, snakes could never get on to a plane like that, it doesn't make sense. I'm going to go on messege boards and slam the movie because its not oscar worthy!!!"

You know, I happen to like the movie Like Mike.

I was watching Jason X on TBS once at 4AM while listening to the radio and maaaaaaan was it stupid. After Jason gets frozen, its like a fukken Star Trek movie or somethin'.

I need to see Snakes on a muthafukken Plane. Not sure if I could convince any of my family to take me.

Like everything else, this movie is a matter of opinion. Some will say it sucks and some will say it is awesome. So arguing about it won't get u anywhere. Talladega Nights was really hyped up and I didn't think it was that great. (Ancorman was much better imo) Snakes on a Plane looks worthy of seeing just because there are so many other movies that look much worse.

Well, I've been back from seeing it since last night and just remembered to post.

I'm not going into annything about how if you dont like it your a loser, or defending it against people that didnt like it, or anny of that stuff.

I loved it, and it is my favorite movie of all time.

"Boo creepy foot doctor!!" :x

I'm gonna try and see it this weekend. Hopefully I will like it and not come out the theatre wanting to shoot myself.

I think I see what the difference is here now... I've never watched a B horror movie and laughed, my reaction's always like "this is fucking stupid" and I'll turn it off. Besides, SOAP will never take the mantle from Attack Of The Killer Tomato's, never.

If you want to laugh at a completely retarded "horror" movie, I suggest "Killer Klowns from Outer Space". They turn people into cotton candy  .

i give it a 9/10, very funny and some really good scary parts

we had a full theater and there was a lot of cheering for the title (kinda reminded me of a Star Wars Opening) and everytime Jackson swore; great time

"Snakes on Crack; great"

i saw the movie earlier today. i thought it was pretty entertaining. i think the reason why people think its such a ridiculous movie is the movie's title. maybe too simple. probably y the movie has gotten a lotta hype too - simple title+new idea. it wasnt a great movie but wasnt bad either (i usually look at my cell phone to see what time it is if the movie is boring-didnt during this film). there is some mild humor in it but its not all that funny... kinda like, "oh, thats supposed to be funny". not haha, thats funny. i saw talladega earlier this week and id say this movie was better. i agree egundy... i had greater expectations and anchorman was better. talladega nights was kinda pointless with no lol humor.

Alright, who gives a damn about the intentions or the previous hype. This movie was fucking entertaining and well worth the 10 bucks. I haven't had this much fun in a theater in...forever!

When "the Quote" came, I was in tears. It was so outrageous and so unrealistic, but who gives a damn? It was entertaining.

And you HAVE to see it in theaters because, quite frankly, it will blow on DVD. You need to see it with an audience.

American audiences in cinemas are heaps different to Australia, people never cheer or yell or really make ANY noise unless something's funny then they'll laugh. From what I've heard, cinemas in the states are more like being in the audience of Jerry Springer :?

I used to watch that cartoon every morning on fox as a kid..heh. Back then it was entertaining.

It was a cartoon?

Thats not true at all. Everytime I've ever been to the movie theatre, for the most part people only make noise when they laugh, like u said. Sure there's the occasional douche bag that wants to be the center of attention by making noise but nothing big.

The occasional douchebag in most instances is some high school kid so you cant really fault him for being an idiot. He's just reflecting the education system at that level in the US. For the most part movie-goers in the States are civilized.

I've seen footage of inside US cinemas during some movies, in one instance they gave a standing ovation as soon as they saw the words "INDEPENDANCE DAY" come up on the screen. An actor (I think it was Kevin Spacey) said the difference between American cinema audiences and UK cinema audiences is that in the US they don't seem to realise that the actors aren't standing up there behind the screen, so they can't actually hear what you're saying... sounds weird though, maybe it only happens in premiers and such.

I saw SOAP last night, but didn't have a chance to post it before now. Hype aside, it was was one of my favorite movies ever, and I rare enjoy "B" Horror films. I think aside from the ending (which was kind of potinless) the rest of the movie was excellent.. hopefully I can get a few of my friends to go with me and I'll watch it a second time.

Can't forget about the standing ovation for the preview of SoaP and for The Passion of the Christ.

I remember when I watched The Passion, after the movie was done, some odd nutball stood up and clapped and everybody was just looking at him as if he was a freak. He stopped after five claps.

People really only make a lot of noise when it is opening night and the theater is packed and people are really excited.

Star Wars Episode 1,2,3 is a good example, and so is Lord of the Rings, or Batman.

Since you don't seem to have fallen into the geek-hype pit and drowned like Indy and GloveGuy, I'll ask you; what's so good/funny about the movie? I get the fact that it's a B-grade horror flick, but so what, there's hundreds of those. I also don't laugh at Samuel L Jackson randomly swearing, so apart from those, what is so great about it?
