Norton would make a great villian.

As Gordon said, I could (now) see him doing the joker.

Hugh Jackman's in talks for Harvey Dent...as is Jake Gyllenhaal, but he's too gay. :(

Christian Bale, while he did an awesome job, wasnt as "dark" as Norton could be without being too evil.

Christian Bale did a hell of a job as Batman, he didn't need to be more "dark". Batman wasn't that "dark" when he started out. He only got darker and meaner when the 2nd Robin died (killed by Joker).

Harvey Keitel seems like a good candidate as the Joker.

In other superhero movie news:
Tom Cruise is reportedly eyed to play Tony Starks aka Ironman. Bleech, I think I'm going to puke if that happens.

What's the need for emotions? Superman's a playa. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.
I liked Superman's cold treatment of Lois in the movie, I'm tired of Superman mostly being portrayed as an uber boyscout in the comics and previous movies/TV series.

Routh should used again for the role but he should bulk up a little bit. His body frame didn't look superhero-esque to me even with the costume, compared to Bale. I don't want to see another Superman looking like a male model that's anorexic like Dean Cain in that lame TV series.

Edward Norton comes to mind who can also portray Batman with the same intensity and approach as Bale did to the character. Norton could easily bulk up for the role like what he did in American History X.

first off that's a pretty poor comparison since Batman is wearing body armour. the outfit even made some dweeb like Michael Keaton look buff

Routh looked pretty damn buff to me, even in an outfit that isn't especially flattering. But since a lot of scenes his cape is covering his shoulders, you don't see how broad and thick his shoulders are

As Gordon said, I could (now) see him doing the joker.

took you long enough to believe

i'm not so sure about Wolverine playing Keitel... the only superhero Tom Cruise should play is someone like Aquaman or some other gay superhero

 Lmfao, I just noticed I said Hugh Jackman/Jake Gyllenhaal were in talks to play Harvey Keitel. Harvey Keitel is the guy from movies like Reservoir Dogs & Pulp Fiction. Two Face's "normal" side is called Harvey Dent. My mistake guys. Although Shadow & Gordon didn't pick up on it either.

I think the guy from Willard is being touted as the Joker. Forget his name...Harvey Keitel (the actor) seems too old to play the Joker, Shadow.

So to clear it all up, Wolverine is in talks about playing Dent, not Keitel. Btw, I'd rather have Jackman opposed to Gyllenhaal. :barf:

that is pretty funny... harvey keitel/dent lol

anyone else not like Kate Bosworth's portrayal of Louis Lane??

to me, this version of Superman paid a lot of homage to original... the characters/plot were even similar to the 1st one. Spacey, Routh, even the guy from "Not another team movie" who played Jimmy Olsen was spot on. But Bosworth stunk. This is only thing i had to complain about the movie

Norton doesn't look anything like Bruce Wayne though. And he was bulky (for him) in American History X, but nowhere near as bulked as Christian Bale. He just doesn't have the size.

And Cain was in good shape. He's just short.

Bale's dark-ness as Batman was perfect. I don't know what you guys are talking about.

And Joey Jojo, Tom Cruise'd be perfect as Tony Stark. Watch the Last Samurai..

And what's with all the homophobes? Pleasse guys..

And I don't think I'd want Jackman or Jake G. as Two Face. I indentify Jackman too much with Wolverine and Jake is just too young IMO to play him.

shit! I didn't catch that that that's the kid from "Not Another Teen Movie" as Jimmy Olsen!

And I didn't like Bosworth as Lois either. I also didn't like Spacey as Lex or Frank Langella as Perry White.

Bosworth wasn't pushy enough or reporter enough like Lois is to me. White wasn't demanding enough either. And Spacey just wasn't Lex to me.

I heard they were looking at Hugo Weaving(Agent Smith) to play the Clown Prince of Crime. That would be sweet.

That would indeed be sweet, after seeing his crazyness in the Matrix and just his acting flowing out of his voice in V, I think he'd be able to pull it off. He has that scrawny look going aswell.

The Willard dude has the looks for it though. Who do you think should play Dent?

Here's a Joker for you...

John WB wrote:Bale's dark-ness as Batman was perfect. I don't know what you guys are talking about.

Neither do I. I do believe Bale is perfect for the role, especially those scenes where he wanted to kill the murderer of his parents but was beat to it by a hired killer.
John WB wrote:Tom Cruise'd be perfect as Tony Stark

He must portray Tony Starks with the moustache though, moustache not beard (Last Samurai). I'll pay to see Cruise in a moustache, that would be hilarious, imo.

Kevin Spacey said that his portrayal of Lex Luthor was a homage to Hollywood great, Gene Hackman (who also portrayed Luthor in the previous Superman movies).
I didn't like some aspect of Spacey's portrayal but I'm hoping he'll be back for a sequel and do a better job.

John WB- i'm not a homophobe. i personally think that Tom Cruise's unambiguity as a homosexual and now his wacky scientology beliefs get in the way of his performances. and i do believe that the "general" public can be swayed from seeing movies due to the movie's main acor's personnal life- i.e- Ben Affleck and the movie "Jersey Girl" and "daredevil". But hey that's just me, maybe some people aren't fools like me and don't see that Tom Cruise plays these roles with homosexual connotations and that his female leads are seldom superstars

i've seen Superman 3 times now and i've come to realize that Bosworth's performance doesn't measure up to the rest of the cast. as you say, she's not "Louis" enough, and even when she was trying to do her mannerisms, it seemed forced and unnatural. and she didn't even look old/mature enough to be Louis.. if you go back and watch the 1st Superman (with Christopher Reeves) you'll see that Singer's "Returns" borrows many lines/makes many refereces to it

it shouldn't matter that Actor X, Crispin Glover in this case, has the 'look' for Joker? As Tyler Durden said in Fight Club- "Sticking feathers up your ass doesn't make you a chicken". Slap enough makeup and what not and you can make any lanky looking guy look like the Joker

batman begins 2 is still a vapor movie. no script yet even. so no casting, no joker, no dent..

the last i read on ironman is that tom cruise is out of the consideration for tony starks... he was supposed to be in it while the flim was being produced by new line, but now it's over to paramount, jon favreau is scripting it, and the lead is still unknown... a bunch of people have been mentioned besides cruise, including di caprio, and even justin timberlake...

as for supes... liked the film pretty much, lois was being whory self, spacey WAS luthor, and routh sold me on being superman during the first action sequence with the plane... allround goodness.
