Yeah I agree, the Eagles reached a whole lot with that pick. Bloom is a 6-7th round guy.

This was a great overall draft for these teams

1. Philadelphia Eagles- They got Winston Justice in the 2nd round while he was projected in the top 15. Another great pick-up was Max Jean-Giles who can provide a big body in the system.

2. Arizona Cardinals- Edgerrin James at RB will help their team out. But in the first round QB Matt Leinart was a steal and number 10. Another great draft and they filled all of their needs. Look for the Arizona Cardinals to compete with the Rams and Seahawks for the NFC West champ.

You say it was a great draft, I saw you did an excellent job with this thread.

And I envy you having the draft class with ncaa. we dont get that here. madden should be out fairly soon i hope.

Thanks Matthew, and it was one of the strongest draft classes in a long time. When Leinart falls all the way to 10, you know its good. Madden should be coming out in around July-August. So not to long of a wait.

Bad Picks

1. John McCargo going number 26 to the Bills. Huge Reach here and could have picked him up in the second or third round. Maybe the even the fourth.

2. Ryan Cook going 51st to the Vikings. The Vikings have no need for a Center in this situation. They had bigger needs such as DT and DE that they didn't fill.

3. Anthony Fasano going 53rd to the Cowboys. The Cowboys have a pro-bowler in Jason Whitten and had no need for a TE. A DE should have been the pick here.

4. Donte Whitner going 8th to the Bills. Whitner was the biggest surprise of this draft most certainly. Said to go maybe as high as 30 was not the best choice here. Not the worst pick though since Safty was a need.

5. Davin Joseph going 23rd to the Buccaneers. Joseph was second round talent no doubt. The Buccaneers should have gone after some one besides Joseph with this pick.

Just Missed: Mario Williams going 1st, Tarvaris Jackson going 64th, Marques Hagans going 144th

Good Picks

1. Matt Leinart going 10th to the Cardinals. Leinart was arguably the best college QB in history. Going 37-2 in his collegaite career, Leinart was top 3 talent but nobody selected him.

2. Reggie Bush going 2nd to the Saints. Reggie was the Heisman winner last year and the most explosive back since Gale Sayers. He should've gone number 1 since Mario Williams wasn't even close to Reggie talent wise.

3. Winston Justice going 39th to the Eagles. Winston was supposed to go to the Eagles in the first round with the fourteenth pick but he was nearly forgotten in this draft. A great OT, Justice will make a big impact.

4. Rodrique Wright going 226th. Rod was projected in almost every draft to go 2-3rd round and he slipped all the way to the 7th. He has tons of potential and was one of the best DT in college football last year.

5. Ashton Youboty going 70th to Buffalo. Once again a first round talent who fell to the third round, Youboty showed great poise playing Conerback and Safety. Hes a big guy and a great player who will make an impact for the Bills. This pick makes up for their first round scuffle.

Just Missed- Ko Simpson going 105th to Buffalo, Max Jean-Giles going 99th to Philadelphia, Omar Jacobs going 164th to the Steelers.

Actually, i think Denver got a good pick in Jay Cutler. Jake Plummer will whine a lot if he loeses his starting job, and will probably leave! t least we have a QB for the future of the franchise!

Arizona had a great draft from what I can tell... between my all-sports draft obsession and new found love for Madden 06, I think I've found myself a new sport to follow next season.

Arizona had a good selection with Leinart, but I'm not sure if they had a GREAT draft.

So jae, will you be in the nlsc football league? :proud:

They picked up Gabe Watson and Leonard Pope alot later then they were supposed to go, from what I read () they're steals... I have no idea how NFL fantasy leagues work, I'd probably pick a kicker in the first round because he's rated 99 in Madden.

Yeah actully Leonard Pope was rumored to go 1st round and fell to the 3rd. Hes 6'7 and a huge target over the middle. That will bring great success to Arizona who already has the best receiving core in football (Fitzgerald, Boldin).

I'm still a colts fan, but as i live in AZ i may start liking the cards more. still haven't been to an NFL game, but I don't like any team that's coming to AZ this year. Though we DO have a new stadium :D

I'm not sure if i'd call it the best recieving core in football yet. They have alot of talent at the wr position (but so does detroit ). I'd take Dallas with Glenn and Owens and Jason Witten.

Detroit has potential but Arizona had Boldin and Fitzgerald both go over 1000 yards each last year. They ranked number 3 and 4 in yards and combined to score 17 TD's. I can't think of another team that has that kind of production.

Dallas has T.O. but Terry Glenn isn't in the same neighborhood as Fitz or Boldin. Witten is an established TE but now Arizona has Leonard Pope who could be better than Witten in the future.

But with Owens he will help Glenns production, and same with witten. Obviously if I had a choice I'd take Fitzgerald or Boldin over glenn, but glenn can go deep, and with owens and wiiten who require safety help, glenn could find himself in alot of one on one situations.

Yeah your right but I would take Edgerrin James over Julius Jones any day at RB. Edge will help out the passing game 10 times more than Julius Jones will.

I completely forgot about edge, but if we're taking that into account I'll say Bledsoe now is a much better passer then warner or Leinart.

True but Bledsoe is getting old and Leinart will replace Warner in no time at all.
