bush wasn't too bad back when "alternative/grunge" rock was at it's peak. sixteen stone & razorblade suitcase were part of my cd collection (lol i had to look both up). i even bought "deconstructed" which remixed songs mostly from the previously mentioned albums

That sounds like one of those Asian connections where they stretch all the way back to great, great, great aunts and uncles when explaining to their kids how their related to so and so.

Madonna, theres nothing more meaningful than her videos.

It's for real. I heard it on a music channel, not MTV though.

I love you some of you guys bust a nut because she used a rap artists beat... but when a rapper uses and butchers up a rock songs instrumentals you say nothing.

And for your information, No doubt are reforming after her tour and promotion finishes..
It was always teh plan for her to do a solo record and get it out of her system, it just dragged on thats all..

That's not a problem, she go ahead and use whatever beat she wants. But flipping her image to become more urban and hop onto the latest trends is riduculous.

And if someone fucks up a sample (like Puffy) then it would be stupid. More often than not it's old soul songs that get butchered though anyway. Then again, you don't seem to think there is any talent involved in either rapping or producing, so why bother?

i think gwen stefani has always been "urban". when the band no doubt became so popular, that style was thrusted into the main stream. and even moreso now since much of the bubble gum bands/artists that are popular amongst the mtv targeted audience are either urban or punk. even some of the artists that are neither try to be so- i.e justin timberlake, that simpson dog, etc

I can't stand people who criticize others for doing their thing. Quit being a hater and give them credit for trying.
