Twins and White Sox are big time rivals...

Yeah, White Sox have been jealous of the Twins for years. They are just loving it now that the roles are reversed.

They won two in the past 15 years. How many have the White Sox won? How many straight playoff births did the White Sox have?

You never answered my question: Did Dye get hit with the ball?

I don't like both of the teams in the World Series right now but...
Go Astros.
The White Sox deserved to be cursed longer for the Black Sox scandal. Yes, it's been near 100 years, but selling a world series? Wow, that's just wrong. I can't help but think they should've changed their team name or something after that. Bleah, maybe I'm rooting against them since a friend of mine is a big White Sox fan. (so he claims, but I think bandwagoner!)
Bored.

I don't care that the Twins aren't in it, what pisses me off is the White Sox are getting all the breaks and these White Sox fans act like they aren't getting shit.

Anyways, aren't the White Sox fans famous for running onto the field and beating a 3rd base coach?

yeh look at all the countless threads/posts white sox fans have made to spite the twins when the twins were in the playoffs

petite was balking all nite... bagwell didn't get out of the way of a contreras pitch...

full troll mode right there

dye didn't hit the grand slam or the hit the game winner... AJ didn't hit the winning hit either

nevermind that Qualls, who is houston's best setup man, gives up a grand-slam to konerko... that lidge, the NL's best closer, gives up the game winning HR to podsednik... or crede hit the game winning double on an 0-2 count.

there have been controversies but the sox have capatalized while their opponents have crapped their pants.

i have a lot respect for mike scocia- after game 2 in the ALCS, he offered no excuses, never mentioned the AJ incident, and said his team wasn't playing a high enough level to win that game.

same goes to lidge: he didn't offer any excuses either. no mention of dye or whatever. said he made the pitch he wanted and it just didn't work out.

both are class acts

but for others...

It just keeps getting more, and more pathetic.

Yeah, they had to get the other out BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN IN THAT SITUATION! Don't you understand that?

Example:
Score: Houston 0 White Sox 1

2 outs and Taveras is up to plate. He gets a slapper to Crede and Crede bobbles it up fires it to 1st base. Taveras is clearly out but the umpire makes a bad call and they don't huddle up to discuss it. The next batter, Lance Berkman, comes up and nails a homerun. Houston ends up winning 2-1.

Are you telling me you wouldn't complain about that call? Bullshit.

predictable response...

as already previously mentioned, bad breaks happen to every team. houston still decided their own fate, as did the angels. could the calls gone the other way? possibly but does that excuse houston or LAA from giving up homeruns on the ensuing at-bat? hell fucking no

only losers and trolls second guess every damn, single call and offer excuses. the real jerks talk the loudest so they get heard lol. they will point to missed calls but fail to acknowledge that the sox have come through in big situations against houston's awesome bullpen or that houston has stranded a shit load of runners.

I'm not saying the White Sox didn't step up. They certainly deserved to be in the World Series this year. However, they have gotten a lot of key calls that were obviously bad calls. It's just you guys fail to realize that.

White Sox are the best team in the A.L. this year. Bottom line. However, they have gotten a lot of help from the umpires. I'm not saying they wouldn't be where they are without the umpires but I'm just saying that Astros have every right to complain, but the classy thing is they didn't.

Bad Calls happen to both teams. What about that foul ball that was ruled a homer in the astros favour? The Sox didnt put their heads down, they played through it and scored 5 runs the next inning.

Thats what champions do, respond to pressure.

Game 3 was a great game...amazing game. White Sox took a 3-0 series lead in the 14th inning.

How about this World Series? It has to be one of the closest 3-0 series in World Series history. Astros were in every game and the ball just doesn't bounce their way. Astros simply can't hit with runners in scoring position, and that has hurt them in the series.

I think its more that the Sox pitchers really grind down under pressure and throw absolutley nothing that can be hit.

I'm not trying to slam you, just making a point...

One more win baby... oh man, I'm so incredibly psyched.

But the thing with the Astros is they make stupid swings at the plate. They need to be more patient, it seems like nobody wants to be up there at the plate when runners are on base. The Twins had the same problem.

But the Sox do have good pitching, but I think it's more Astros being uncomfortable with runners in scoring position.

Congrats to the White Sox. Although I wanted the Astros to win but who cares, baseball isn't that big to me anyways.
Finally its over. No more forever-lasting baseball highlights. It's time for basketball...
