LOL, it's bigger than the biggest remote control. But it has the Internet Explorer as browser though. The phone is great it's just the size which sucks. (N)

Bigger than the biggest remote control? Dude, you're exaggerating.

What can you do with that phone? I've heard a lot about them phones.

What is it with people's phones looking like baseball bats or something. And damn you X for having the Razor, that phone looks amazing. Anyway, here's me using my cellphone.

Ok, enough of the stupid jokes. Here's my real phone. It's got a pretty nice size, color screen, takes pictures, stuff like that, the only thing that kind of sucks is that all the default rings are retarded.

GG

Camera, video, internet, blah blah blah, and v cast. I haven't actually tried V cast but I bought V cast games (the ones that are suposed to be 3D blah blah blah) and they all have very lousy framerate and suck.. :(

What's all this about a Windows phone? Sounds interesting... I'd like to buy one, but I just got this one..

Figured I'd update you guys on my new phone...the Sony Ericsson w800i. :D

In two weeks I get the black & silver fronts/covers. So, bye bye orange.

512 MB for my music, a phone & a 2.0 megapixel camera. I'm satisfied.

I had the choice of taking a palm pilot (HP) but it was fucking huge, the Nokia 8800 would cost me an additional €499 & the Motorola Razr is really flat, but too big. Bigness < flatness.

Anyone else have a phone update?

Sun Oct 23, 2005 10:54 am

I dropped my phone a couple of times, the joystick thingy is kinda dodgy. That's my update (N)

I believe it can still work. You just have to dry it out completely. Seriously.

That works IF you dry the phone before trying to turn it on, but if you turn it on and let it stay on for a long period of time without even drying it, then it's fucked. (Based on my own personal experiences.)

i'm proud to say i don't have a cell phone

i did have a cell phone back in '98 but i found out it worth the money i had to pay to have a simple convenience. if anything, it was annoying since my work and my GF could get a hold of me 24/7. and i think it's pretty funny how some people are so reliant on that thing, they can't even remember their friends #'s because they are used to using the auto dial. take away a cell phone from some people, and they turn into crack fiends

i understand the need to have one if it involves your work, or if you're a bookie, or maybe if you have a pregnant wife.

yet, now everyone has a cell phone. it's as common as wearing underwear. but is it really practical to have one? do we all need to have a cell phone or is the cell phone industry pulling a fast one on society????

and exactly why do you all have cell phones?

Mon Oct 24, 2005 6:41 am

3 weeks ago i found a new cell phone, which is my new one now :o

I think it's a necessity.

I have it so that I can be reached at any given time, wether it's for work, school or family/friends.

If I'm not in the mood to be contacted, I can just either put the phone on silent or just turn it off. I think it's very handy to have a phone, if my mom's place is being broken into in the middle of the night, I'd think she would call the Police first and then try to get in touch with one of her kids, say I'm out in Rotterdam orso at some sort of party, how would she reach me?

A phone is quite necessary, atleast I think it is.

Edit: You FOUND a phone? Why am I never that lucky?

 So true! (Not me, people I know)

Yep, it really annoys me too but I do need it for Univ work and stuff.

I once saw a hobo using a cellphone. Really.
As common as wearing underwear? I know some people that don't wear underwear yet they own a cellphone. (Maybe that hobo is the same too.)
Is having a cellphone practical? I may have to ask that hobo.
exactly why do you all have cell phones?

Other than for personal practical reasons, I guess it's to look kewl. 8-)
and Jackal gives a good example too..

these are all a convenience thing. you even mention it is "handy to have"

do you really need a cell phone so your school can contact you? even with matters of tuition and what not, the school could just mail you or call your house phone. and unless you're on call, why would you need your work to access you 24/7?

i can understand family emergencies. a beeper and phone card though

Mon Oct 24, 2005 9:19 am

Ah, I forgot to mention I have no house phone. A lot of folks in Holland don't.

So the mobile phone pretty much serves as my "house phone" which I take all over the place.
