COME ON!!! This is is not a bad thread neither a good thread. Stop saying that Coolmac spams cause some ppl also posted lots of crap and no one said anything them. Coolmac should have not started a new thread for his "Blackie Hottie" he should have jus posted in his "Blondie Hottie" thread. I never really got into Pink Floyd, I listened to them once with some friends when we were really really stoned but that was it. On the radio last night they played St. Anger, it just reminded me of how bad it was

He had the best vocals through history of rockmusic! If it weren't for him Queen would never been so succefully as they got.

Queen: (y)(y) Freddy Mercury's incredible vocals made this band one of the best. The most professional band by them all IMO.
Metallica: Though some claims that they destroyed the whole metalscene they are a great band, they managed to survive for a long time now and never seams to get old.
Pink Floyd: No opinion since I rarely heard a song on them but I knew that they were quite big.
The Beatles: Don't listen to them but there's no secret that they are the biggest band through history.
G n' R: (y) IMO the band who wrote the best songs. Estranged & November rain for example are both songs that could never been created by any other band. My favorite band off 'em all

He invented the idea of the superstrat, he basically re-wrote the rule book on what could be done with an electric guitar. Eddie is quite simply the man.

who popularised out and out shred in the early days? Van halen did.
Eruption is an entirely unaccompanied guitar solo, it has many of the techniques that became ripped off a million times in the eighties.

Did you know he used to play Eruption with his back to the audience at first so no one knew what he was doing?
His influence on the guitar is phenomenal.

I just finished downloading GNR's Greatest Hits it makes up for the fact that I went out and bought every Pearl Jam album only to have them bring out a (faulty) Greatest Hits a few months later

On a side issue, what is it with bands and shit Greatest Hits albums? They leave out so many great songs, mainly because they get "bored" playing them or something. I think it's about time Metallica brought out a greatest hits (I know S&M was close)... after the last disaster they called an album, they really have to make up for it.
