35 billion? Maybe...I thought I heard 35 million.

because other countries are thinking we should be sending over more.

Off topic-People are saying America should send more because we are the richest country in the world

Lol that sounds fairly reasonable to me.

But we are currently losing money and we are committing BILLIONs on a war right now...nobody would send us that much. Yet we are suppose to send more.

That's like if your girlfriend was rich you expect her to give you more expensive gifts but you won't. You'll give her like...a peanut butter jar and she gives you a car.

I love my analogies. (sp?)

You're also committing BILLIONS on missions to Mars lol. That's what happens when your President has the mind of an infant and just wants to play army men while sending his little space people into outter space.

It's been getting huge coverage here in Canada. My family donated 100$ in aid. It's not much but hopefully it can help.

Seems to me that if every North American saved money from a CD or something, saved 20$ and donated it instead of buying electronics or some pleasantry, a lot of money could be raised.

Stay safe Najira, RIP all who have passed in this tragic event.

On a seriious note, I have sent 150 dollars, cleaning out my wallet...it was worth it.

I got a lot of money over Christmas and I'm keeping it.

As horrible as that sounds I'm sorry. I'm saving up for a jersey. (Y)

Hang on fella's, it's not right to critisize someone for not donating. It's a choice, not a command or anything. I mean not everyone can afford it, and sometimes people prefer to put themselves first sometimes. It doesn't mean they're a bad person, or that they're even doing something wrong. It's just a choice they make and it's a choice they're allowed to make. So there's nothing wrong with what Riot's doing.

I don't know, if I give away my $80 I will feel like I didn't put that money to good use because what will $80 do? Most likely nothing.

And I really want this jersey

Riot, it's perfectly fine that you aren't going to donate. However, just a word of advice: stop talking about it... because you're just digging a bigger hole with all the people who disapprove (not me).

Trust me, looking at it through disapproving eyes, what you just said sounds really bad.

Maybe you could convince your parents to donate or something. It's not always appropriate for teens/kids to donate anyways, because often they barely have enough money as it is. But yeah everyone, if you can, at least try and convince your parents (Y)

Im goin on Sunday to some southern coastal regions to help out....

the toll is over 122,000 now and well it'll double from the looks of the problem with the AID relief. :(

This is saddest new year Ive seen.....some dudes I know asked me to come drink and lay some cheap women.....but after hearing 2 of my friends almost died and I start thinkin of all those ppl n how it must be for them I dont see the point of celebrating for no good cause but making yourself happy.

Hey Riot's from Minnesota, thats all u need to know...... j/k....

btw this is my first post of 2005 :D

That's how I felt with the whole jersey thing, but, as Jae said, it's your choice if you want to donate or not.
