Interesting, so now these black women look like gorillas? I'm not feeling you Jae.
But the difference is, if I clicked on a thread and saw all those pasty, anorexic, no-booty-having freckle-faced chicks that you guys sweat so hard like Lindsey Lohan and the rest of those snowbunnies I just wouldn't weigh in at all. I'd just chalk it up to "different strokes for different folks" and move on. Saying that that particular thread wasn't for me.
But it seems to me that post after post there's been a concentrated effort to make it known that you not only find these women unattractive but you also want to disrespect them. So here comes the gorilla remark and essentially, what is a gorilla? A sub-human mammal, an animal that swings from trees.
You're now entering dangerous ground fellas and I don't like it one bit. Never will I pull the race card at the slightest provocation, always trying to give cats the benefit of the doubt. But now? I'm not feeling you Jae or you Donatello for co-signing the ignorant statement. If you don't like these beautiful black sistas then why continue to post? Why continue to weigh in when the very first post here was of a "gorilla" as you so eloquently put it? Especially when you know that the author of the thread does in fact like black women and will continue to post them.
I don't have to defend these queens to you Jae nor to you Donatello, you can like whatever it is you want to like. But there seems to be an ulterior motive at work here and I WON'T be a part of this shit any longer.

Also Dre you gotta take it easy on some of these guys. Alot of them don't know alot about how far back our history and heritage goes because they are foreign. Lighten up a little. You see, once there was this new guy named like kkk1904 or something and I pm'd him to ask him if he could change his user name because everytime I see it I think Ku Klux Klan you know. He wasn't even aware of what the KKK was.

Before saying something derogatory you have to ask yourself what or how can this be percieved? Now, I know you don't live inside my head or any other African American's head nor are you some sort of clairvoyant, but how naive you are is astonishing to say the least.
Whether on a small scale or a grand scale, it is impossible to look at things as "one big giant rainbow", it just isn't feasible for any person of color. Hell, a step further? It can be downright hazardous to your health!
So my jokes about you guys liking "snake hips" wasn't predicated so much on race as it was a certain taste. Just like back in the eighties there were plenty of White guys who thought Whitney Houston was hot as can be but in the black community she was deemed as being too skinny. See what I mean?
But understand this, once I read the gorilla comment all prior remarks took on a different dynamic to me and touched me on a very personal level. Hence my outrage

Maybe you're naive for being ignorant (too strong a word, but I can't think of another at the moment) to the fact that not every nation works in the same way the USA does. Admittedly in hind sight the gorilla comment came out wrong and I apologize for it, but why should I have to be so overly sensitive to another nations racial problems when the fact that we don't have a similar situation in my country seemingly doesn't matter.Whether on a small scale or a grand scale, it is impossible to look at things as "one big giant rainbow", it just isn't feasible for any person of color. Hell, a step further? It can be downright hazardous to your health!
Over there yes, over here no.So my jokes about you guys liking "snake hips" wasn't predicated so much on race as it was a certain taste. Just like back in the eighties there were plenty of White guys who thought Whitney Houston was hot as can be but in the black community she was deemed as being too skinny. See what I mean?
I know you didn't mean it as a race thing, I was just saying it could be interpreted that way the same as my gorilla comment. But understand this, once I read the gorilla comment all prior remarks took on a different dynamic to me and touched me on a very personal level. Hence my outrage
I understand that, and again I apologize... but you've also got to be more aware of the fact that things really aren't the same in my country as they are in yours. We have our racial problems but they're like 1/10000th the size they are in the USA (in the places I've lived anyways). So yeah it might seem naive to you, but to be honest the only way I'd consider what I said naive is if I was a resident of the USA, or had lived there for some time. I mean I've only been there once, for 5 hours, and that was hardly enough time to notice any sort of racial differences whatsoever.
Either way, I can see your side of things and what happened to Abner Louima sounds horrific and I'm sorry for whatever anger or annoyance you felt from something I said.
