But damn Dre...damn...

Tue Dec 14, 2004 12:28 pm

Know what's funny? My main man Jowe had the audacity to dis Little Big Man's outstanding pictures in the thread that got locked. He said they look ugly, yet...

Peep this shit:

Image

Who the hell is she supposed to be? Marilyn Monhoe? Know that my friends, is an ugly broad! Ol' girl looks like Kevin Spacey with a damn wig on!

Tue Dec 14, 2004 12:45 pm

You're right she isn't that attractive... although, alot of the women that are getting posted look like gorilla's with beach balls glued to their asses.

Interesting, so now these black women look like gorillas? I'm not feeling you Jae.

Tue Dec 14, 2004 1:32 pm

Let me take this a step further, now I've been quite diplomatic with you cats as you've continually made disparaging remark after disparaging remark. You don't like my taste in women? Cool, because the feeling is mutual.

But the difference is, if I clicked on a thread and saw all those pasty, anorexic, no-booty-having freckle-faced chicks that you guys sweat so hard like Lindsey Lohan and the rest of those snowbunnies I just wouldn't weigh in at all. I'd just chalk it up to "different strokes for different folks" and move on. Saying that that particular thread wasn't for me.

But it seems to me that post after post there's been a concentrated effort to make it known that you not only find these women unattractive but you also want to disrespect them. So here comes the gorilla remark and essentially, what is a gorilla? A sub-human mammal, an animal that swings from trees.

You're now entering dangerous ground fellas and I don't like it one bit. Never will I pull the race card at the slightest provocation, always trying to give cats the benefit of the doubt. But now? I'm not feeling you Jae or you Donatello for co-signing the ignorant statement. If you don't like these beautiful black sistas then why continue to post? Why continue to weigh in when the very first post here was of a "gorilla" as you so eloquently put it? Especially when you know that the author of the thread does in fact like black women and will continue to post them.

I don't have to defend these queens to you Jae nor to you Donatello, you can like whatever it is you want to like. But there seems to be an ulterior motive at work here and I WON'T be a part of this shit any longer.

It's been real fellas, very real. I just love it when people truly show me where they stand. That way? There are no misconceptions on my behalf.

Tue Dec 14, 2004 1:39 pm

man yall dudes are crazy, postin all this shit with the ladies, then arguin about wether youd tap into it. you gotta be kidding me! all these ladies are fine as hell(except for the one in the fishnets and the scary lookin white thing that was bending over) everyone needs to get off their high horse and just admit that they all get the blood flowin to the nether regions.afrocentric, eurocentric, who gives a shit! somethin must be wrong with me cuz im just a fan of ladies of any color.

btw im not tryin to start anything jae but calling someone of color a gorilla can be taken the wrong way. sayin taht is just lookin for an argument of some sort, there could have been better ways to say you didnt like serena.sure you didnt mean it like that.anyhew lets get back to those juicy asses.

Tue Dec 14, 2004 2:32 pm

I doubt he meant Gorilla in that sense.....

I mean, she just looks all messed up. No offense, but my chick is 20x better.

Pick a fold, baby...pick a fold.

Whoaaaa hold up a second. The gorilla comment has aboslutely nothing to do with race. It's how I describe women I would see as overweight and hairy. I know it can be used as a racial slur but that's not how it was intended so don't get on the racial soapbox.. er... too late... ok...

But the difference is, if I clicked on a thread and saw all those pasty, anorexic, no-booty-having freckle-faced chicks that you guys sweat so hard like Lindsey Lohan and the rest of those snowbunnies I just wouldn't weigh in at all. Um... but you don't do that at all. You fully state your opinion on those women, you don't chalk it upto "different strokes" and just move on at all. The snake hip comments and whatever other things you've come out with prove that. Not that I have a problem with it, everyone's entitled to their opinion but you definitely can't take the moral high ground with this one.

But it seems to me that post after post there's been a concentrated effort to make it known that you not only find these women unattractive but you also want to disrespect them. Who cares if they're disrespected by some 19 year old Australian who posts on an internet message board none of them would ever know about?

You're now entering dangerous ground fellas and I don't like it one bit. Never will I pull the race card at the slightest provocation, always trying to give cats the benefit of the doubt. But now? Again, it has nothing to do with them being black. I mean, I could just as easily put it back on you for the "snake hips" thing, saying it's because they're white. But do you know why I don't do that? Because I trust that you're not in that way a racist, and it's a shame that you'd just assume that I am. I mean when you posted these pics initially what were you expecting? Everyone to go "Shit yeah Dre those girls are hot!"... it's not gonna happen, as you've stated people have different opinions and those opinions are going to be stated. Taking the racial stance on this isn't going to help, because the only person being overly sensitive about race in this instance is you. I see everyone as being the same, and it's pretty obvious that you don't. Otherwise you wouldn't be so quick to jump to these conclusions.

I don't have to defend these queens to you Jae nor to you Donatello, you can like whatever it is you want to like. But there seems to be an ulterior motive at work here and I WON'T be a part of this shit any longer.

Alright now this has pissed me off. I've got loads of respect for you Dre, and have had for a long time but what the fuck are you talking about? Ulterior motive? Bullshit. It's stating an opinion. Just because we don't like the way these women look, we're racists and have ulterior motives? Mate, this isn't 1920 anymore things are different.

PNWED.

Tue Dec 14, 2004 2:49 pm

I didn't laugh at that because I'm racist- I didn't even think he made a racist comment. And I am about as far from racist as you can get.

Tue Dec 14, 2004 2:51 pm

Is it considered racists if you hate EVERYONE?

Also Dre you gotta take it easy on some of these guys. Alot of them don't know alot about how far back our history and heritage goes because they are foreign. Lighten up a little. You see, once there was this new guy named like kkk1904 or something and I pm'd him to ask him if he could change his user name because everytime I see it I think Ku Klux Klan you know. He wasn't even aware of what the KKK was.

Thanks Ruffryder that's a really good point. Being from Australia we've never really had a big issue with race, I mean we have Aboriginals but they're definitely a minority over here and most of them actually choose to segregate themselves. So it's really a completely different culture as far as that kinda thing goes.

Wed Dec 15, 2004 1:18 pm

Yeh, like wat Jae said. Australia is a multicultural diverse society. We have bloody every kind of human being on earth living here.

Although, i would love to kick some aboriginal arse.

Wed Dec 15, 2004 1:34 pm

If you think ur country is a multicultural diverse society.... Just take my school for an example. We have more than 200 different culturaled people. Now thats a multicultural diverse society

Wed Dec 15, 2004 1:50 pm

200 cultures? :?
Thats abit of an exageration?

But Kudos to you, Kudos.

Thu Dec 16, 2004 1:21 am

Well, I just finished reading these remarks about my post. I wish I had clicked on it earlier but I was stewing to say the least....

Jae, I think you need to understand something. While yes, it is true that we have innate cultural differences at work here and there is no doubt that I could have misconstrued your statement, it was still wrong.

Before saying something derogatory you have to ask yourself what or how can this be percieved? Now, I know you don't live inside my head or any other African American's head nor are you some sort of clairvoyant, but how naive you are is astonishing to say the least.

We as African Americans in this country have been persecuted based on the rationale that we were sub-human anthropods, therfore any ill treatment could not be deemed as being inhumane. Whether it was slavery, lynchings (where black men were hung from trees for public entertainment and castrated as well, penises inserted into their mouths), having our churches burned down, women and children raped and sodomized or to be treated like Abner Louima was in 2001. (He was an innocent man who was beaten, sodomized with a plunger and then had the plunger shoved into his mouth breaking nearly all of his teeth, by New York police officers) this skewed rationale has led to the most horrid events imaginable for black people. Who cares what you do to an animal?

So yes, I get extremely riled up at the notion of my people being categorized as unintelligable beasts. And yes, you're right, I'm NOT color blind. Frankly, being color blind is a luxury that only caucasians really have because you best believe that a black person is reminded on a daily basis exactly what color they are in this country. Whether on a small scale or a grand scale, it is impossible to look at things as "one big giant rainbow", it just isn't feasible for any person of color. Hell, a step further? It can be downright hazardous to your health!

You are not an american, you're an aussie so I don't expect now for you to be able to relate to everything that I'm saying but you should tuck it away for future reference. My accusation and labeling of you and Donatello as racist was wrong and for that I apologize. I also apologize for losing my cool and attempting to "fight fire with fire" and weighing in with my own ignorant statements. Emotion was definitely at work there as opposed to rational thinking. I don't hate white women or white people for that matter. What I said was wrong as well as childish and I'm sorry for that.

Snake Hips- this is and old joke from the hood about any female that has no hips, black women included. So it isn't a specific derogatory comment about caucasian females whatsoever, fact is I just recently graduated from an all white school (except for my black ass, LOL) and there were PLENTY of white females with hips and booty on them. The flip side was though, that usually their caucasian male counterparts didn't find them attractive and would call them fat.

So my jokes about you guys liking "snake hips" wasn't predicated so much on race as it was a certain taste. Just like back in the eighties there were plenty of White guys who thought Whitney Houston was hot as can be but in the black community she was deemed as being too skinny. See what I mean?

In conclusion, I didn't care what you guys thought about the females. We are all entitled to our opinions and hey, we were just having fun and clowning around. But understand this, once I read the gorilla comment all prior remarks took on a different dynamic to me and touched me on a very personal level. Hence my outrage, glad we got this clarified Jae and Don. You racist bastards! (I'm kidding, I'm kidding!)

Maybe you're naive for being ignorant (too strong a word, but I can't think of another at the moment) to the fact that not every nation works in the same way the USA does. Admittedly in hind sight the gorilla comment came out wrong and I apologize for it, but why should I have to be so overly sensitive to another nations racial problems when the fact that we don't have a similar situation in my country seemingly doesn't matter.

Whether on a small scale or a grand scale, it is impossible to look at things as "one big giant rainbow", it just isn't feasible for any person of color. Hell, a step further? It can be downright hazardous to your health!

Over there yes, over here no.

I know you didn't mean it as a race thing, I was just saying it could be interpreted that way the same as my gorilla comment.

But understand this, once I read the gorilla comment all prior remarks took on a different dynamic to me and touched me on a very personal level. Hence my outrage

I understand that, and again I apologize... but you've also got to be more aware of the fact that things really aren't the same in my country as they are in yours. We have our racial problems but they're like 1/10000th the size they are in the USA (in the places I've lived anyways). So yeah it might seem naive to you, but to be honest the only way I'd consider what I said naive is if I was a resident of the USA, or had lived there for some time. I mean I've only been there once, for 5 hours, and that was hardly enough time to notice any sort of racial differences whatsoever.

Either way, I can see your side of things and what happened to Abner Louima sounds horrific and I'm sorry for whatever anger or annoyance you felt from something I said.

Touche', touche'. I guess it's that "american arrogance" at work on my part, we seem to forget that america and it's lifestyle, mentality and ways of life are just that. AMERICAN.

Peace.

Not really, that's more just Sydney or in city areas.

Down where i live it's pretty much all Aussies, except for the odd Asian, african american, etc.
