The Good News Thread

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Eh, would it be better if we study monetary values?

Thanks for the congratulatory message of congratulations. Now all I need to do is get a job so that I can afford buying stuff to upgrade my PC.

So I have officially become what my parents, girlfriend and other loved ones feared. I am now an owner of an Atari, Sega Genesis, SNES, N64, PS1, GBA, DS, PSP, PS2, Wii, a gaming computer, 2 360's and a PS3.

My first 360 died on Sunday, that is going to be sent out soon for repairs and I bought an arcade to fill the rock band void. Plans are to keep both when it comes back. And just now, I sniped a PS3 on ebay for 240 bucks so I can play me some little big planet.....yes, I just bought a PS3 for 1 measely game.

God dammit, I rule.

I don't see a Dreamcast, Game Boy Micro, or Xbox listed. You're missing out on three of the four greatest consoles of the last decade.

And if you don't have a Wavebird (or at least GCN controller) for that Wii...

(And which Atari, which Genesis, which GBA, PSP, PS2, PS1? Do you have an old Game Boy?)

lol, no idea which atari, I havent gotten that adapter to make it work on coaxil

the fat 16bit genesis, GBA SP, Blue Madden PSP, fat ps2, fat ps1, no old game boy.

My first job was to buy a dreamcast, but I didnt think id make enough so I bought a bunch of N64 games.

No Xbox cause no real need, games I wanted came out on PC or PS2.

And only 2 gamecube games, NBA Live 2003, and the 2nd WWE game.

Anyway, more good news, evidently I have vacation time at work. 40 hours worth, and it has to be used up by the new year or else I get a check cut for the amount of time I didnt use.

I hate my command with a passion but it's overall not that bad. I mean, it's suppose to be a sacrifice and I knew that. I don't complain about the hours or the workload, but sometimes the little stuff that the chiefs and LPO's put out is just a bit too much for me.

But hey, where else in this country would they take an 18 year old kid from high school and give him a gun and a badge everyday? It's a good gig.

Wouldn't the police force do the same? I wouldn't fancy that job though.
