Evidently Sting has signed with WWE and is going to debut 2-21-11 with those videos

Wow. That is quite exciting
Wed Feb 02, 2011 6:22 am
A short WWE run for Sting would be pretty cool, if that comes to pass.

a cool fan-made poster:

That would be awesome, though Sting shouldn't be the one to end the streak (if indeed anyone should at this point) and I doubt he comes in just to do a job.
Wed Feb 02, 2011 7:42 am
Wow. I could be watching WWE again if Sting really goes.
Wed Feb 02, 2011 7:50 am
well, Sting might still be signed, but evidently the 2-21-11 is the "surprise" return of the undertaker
http://pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.php?id=54870&p=2In the video that was yanked, the localized ad pushed that The Undertaker would be returning to Fresno, CA. The exact verbiage was:
"Plus, on this night in Fresno...The Deadman, The Undertaker returns."
Local advertising on the venue's website also lists "The Return of The Undertaker."
Wed Feb 02, 2011 8:30 am
Hey, maybe they'll both make an appearance that night. The best of both worlds.
Wed Feb 02, 2011 10:45 am

Sounds legit enough. If both of them return on the same night....
Wed Feb 02, 2011 11:50 am
perhaps they (nash, booker, sting) are making one last run on the road to wrestlemania to end up in the WCW themed HOF in ATL. at this point, goldberg should come back too

Booker T's new role is announcing for Smackdown
Wed Feb 02, 2011 1:24 pm
awesome

Woah! Sting signing with WWE! I hope this happens!
Booker being a commentator will be good sucka!

Now that sir, would be awesome.

I'm guessing Booker T's new role will allow him to wrestle on occasion with sparse house show appearances, suiting the lighter schedule he was apparently after. Supposedly Nash is working under a Legends deal so he'll be making some appearances as well, good to see them back. If they could get Sting to make a few appearances and work Wrestlemania, that'd be a major coup as well.

hopefully booker will relieve cole & striker of their duties. i would like to see a mathews/booker combo, although i would imagine they keep cole & striker with booker
Wed Feb 02, 2011 6:00 pm
That sucks, Booker looked like he could still perform at a really high level.
Wed Feb 02, 2011 7:08 pm
I hope Booker T in the commentary would be like Punk.

I wouldn't mind that, unfortunately they're pretty intent on Cole being the "voice of the WWE".

http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/article ... ity-122865Former WWE writer, David Lagana, has posted another good article on his blog site, IWantWrestling.com. Lagana looks at the recent 2-21-11 promo and the possibilities of it being for the return of the Undertaker or Sting. The following is a passage from Lagana's article where he recalls when Sting almost made his WWE debut nearly a decade ago:
"Sting at Wrestlemania almost happened nine years ago. Wrestlemania 18 will always be remembered for the memorable Hogan vs. Rock battle in Toronto. That event also featured Triple H winning the undisputed World Title from Chris Jericho and Steve Austin facing NWO Scott Hall (w/Kevin Nash). Sting was approached that year to make his WWE debut and wrestle on the big event. Once he was introduced to the brand, it was pitched that at Wrestlemania 18 Sting would face Kurt Angle. If you remember, Kurt was eventually thrown into a match with Kane with little setup. The deal apparently fell apart as Sting wasn’t willing to work the full WWE schedule. Now nine years later, we might finally get to see Sting in WWE."
If only WWE allowed a lighter schedule for Sting, he could have wrestled on WWE nine years ago.

I can see WWE's point of view though. As great as it would've been to have Sting in the company following the demise of WCW, it wouldn't have been fair to the workers who had been loyal to the WWE and were working a full schedule if someone with no history with the company was brought in and given that perk.

Seriously? Sting coming back would be the first reason i've had to watch wrestling since like..8th grade.
Any word on which "version" we're getting? Classic, The Crow, or Wolfpac?
Personal favorite is classic but i gotta admit the crow persona was fun too.
