Yeah, the idea that wrestlers are restricted to their brand has long since been done away with; not necessarily a bad thing, there's actually been rumours that the brand split will end and with some of the big names retiring or not around as often, it might be time. I've also read that WWE is trying to better Smackdown's ratings, hoping that the exposure on RAW will encourage viewers who don't check out Smackdown as often to make a point to tune in later in the week.

And yet again, Lawler gets a match...and goes over. What the fuck are they hoping to achieve here?

As for Nexus... Pretty much a lesson in how not to book, really.

So long as there's no Fingerpoke of Doom, there's potential for it to be a good angle and a decent Wrestlemania match if it happens. Let's see where they go with it.

The only interesting I know was the Nexus one, then it went downhill after they failed to make "Superman" turned heel.

Ah, Bischoff. He doesn't strike me as a stupid man, but from all that I've read about WCW's demise and the comments various wrestlers have made including several stories recounted in Bret Hart's autobiography, he's at worst a one-trick pony who got lucky on a couple of gambles but couldn't follow up on that success, and at best he's not quite the genius that he and his fanbase proclaim him to be. Lashing out at the IWC should be beneath him.

I agree, that's stupid. It sounds like he's a little frustrated that not everyone appreciates his "genius".

Punk's Nexus has a new member, Mason Ryan. He kinda looks like Batista.

They've also announced that the Royal Rumble will have 40 participants this year, presumably to get as many people onto the card as possible including both Nexus factions and perhaps a couple of surprise entrants.

I got this feeling that the Nexus-Nexus thing will really be at WrestleMania. Also, I can see Del Rio going against HBK for one more match -- that is of course, an assumption from an HBK fan.

I guess we shouldn't rule much out when it comes to professional wrestling, but I reckon HBK will stay in retirement. I could see another confrontation where Del Rio eats Sweet Chin Music again but my guess is that HBK doesn't want to end up like Ric Flair and try to follow up a great send-off match.

Yeah and as he said in his website, Shawn is not even in negotiations with the WWE to make a set of weekly appearances so him having a match again is too much ask I guess.

Anyway, haven't seen Raw since Cena won against Barrett at TLC, but this is awesome:
