Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I cracked and picked it up this afternoon as I got paid for a recent repair job I finished.

I might sound like a broken record: Still playing 2K8 and GTA IV. I'm about 15% shy of my second 100% completion (Trophies) in Liberty City and my 4th seeded Blazers are leading the Hornets 1-0 in the 1st round of the 2009 Playoffs. That's 58-game seasons, 11-minute quarters, all games played. I think I've played the same association for about a year now, definitely over 10 months.
I've been fascinated by FO3 too, but I'm not really agar to buy any video games lately with so little time for gaming on my hands.

Wow Heiks that 2k8 franchise sounds interesting. Are you going to write a recap? I'd love to read it.

I haven't really thought about it, but it would be considerable. With my exams coming up in January I'll rethink in a month's time. Too much to do right now. Thanks for the interest, though.

I'm also still playing 2k8, I just don't see the need of buying 2k9. I'm in my second season with Cavs (played a whole 82 games season, won the Finals vs. Sonics

). Got a pretty strong team right now.
And I'm also on my second playthrough in Fallout 3. I finished first by total accident (at level 14, I think), I didn't even realize it's gonna end, I thought there are more quests after that.

I'm playing a chick now, I blew Megaton and got some nasty bad karma and now I'm trying to redeem myself 'Cause my daddy is dissapointed in me

But I still got my bitchy merc additude

Pay or bug off.
I'm level 20 already and I'm trying to discover every place on the map.

exactly what I did too. Everybody despises me and my bitchiness at this point...

Just write a 1500 word essay recapping your season

im just kidding, but seriously man, you might regret not making notes about it a few years from now.

You make it sound like he's going to miss an important part of his life.

Yeah, everybody hates me too

And I hate hearing Three Dog talking 'bout what I did. No wonder my daddy knows about my dirty deeds

I might just kill him

Btw, what does even happen if you kill Dog? GNR goes down?

I haven't done in my first walkthrough...and I was planning to slaughter everyone much later this time around, so I couldn't tell.

Started my game yesterday afternoon. So far I've mostly been treading a path of good karma, though I decided not to help Butch and his mother while I was escaping the vault.
Fri Jan 02, 2009 3:01 am
Well there's a few amount of karma anyways if you help Butch. Doesn't really do much.
Anyway, I haven't played it for a second playthrough but, did anyone of you guys tried to go back inside Vault 101? How about the bobbleheads? How many of it have you obtained? I only got one.

Well, I'd might pop some words to the "How is your Association going" thread the next time turn on my console. But who knows when that'll be.

Same goes for gaming.

Looks like the pic is from one of those Japanese TV kiddie shows. The ones copied by Power Rangers

I didn't even knew there was a bobblehead in there, until recently. But you kinda get a second chance for that, with a quest, where you must return into Vault 101

(I tottaly forgot to take the booblehead.

)
I think I've got around 8 or 9 bobbleheads right now, all safely in my Tennpenny tower suite.

Yeah I didn't it was worth it just to get a few karma points (since I've mostly been taking that path anyway) and the Tunnel Snakes apparel didn't seem worth it. It was also just too tempting to find out what his response would be.

I'm sure I'm missing things left and right though, I didn't grab the bobblehead for a start.
I also squealed to Lucas Simms about Mister Burke though, resulting in a shootout in the saloon that left Simms and Burke dead, though I got a Chinese assault rifle out of the whole thing.

I played that game for about 5 hours yesterday. I haven't done that for a few years with any game.
Sun Jan 04, 2009 2:03 am
Yeah, the jacket doesn't give you much. Just a few points above the basic Vault 101 suit.
What makes this game more unique, is the ability to make your own weapon out of scraps (well, not literally your own, but the improvisation is there). The Shishkebab is kewl.
Sun Jan 04, 2009 2:46 am
I haven't got the schematic for the shiskebab yet, but having lots of fun with the railway rifle that shoots spikes, and the nuka grenades of course...
Without spoiling the basics of the game, I'd also recommend some of the zillion mods that already exist:
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/latest.phpTo me, some are just necessary now, like the slower leveling, removal of the cap to 30 or 40 instead of only 20, rebalance of the weapon damage, new weapon textures, new weapon sounds, faster running, new sunlight, etc...
Sun Jan 04, 2009 3:15 am
The only schematic I'm missing is for Dart Gun. I also got two of them for Deathclaw Gauntlet and Railway Rifle, which is pretty nice, since the weapon will be version 2.0 (or 3.0, 4.0, I don't know how many schematics you can get for a single weapon).
Until now, I've only made Bottlecap Mine, Rock-It Launcher (sweeeet!) and Shishkebab (which quickly became my fave weapon)
Well, lucky you, el badman, you're on PC and you get the privilige of mods. I'm on 360
Achievments: 37/50 (sadly, I'll have to go through at least two full playthrough's more to get them all.)
Sun Jan 04, 2009 6:01 am
PC-MOSTLY 2k9,but
Live 05,08,
GTA IV,
COD 4,
PES 08,09,

Sun Jan 04, 2009 6:15 am
Thank God. I knew there had to be some use for those damn darts. The same thing for the railway spikes. Going to have to make a shishkebab because I got the schematics.

At the moment I'm using the Vault 101 armour from Moira, currently working through her survival guide quests. The Mirelurk one is proving to be annoying.

i got Top Spin 3 for ps3 a couple weeks ago. it held my attention until i won a few tourneys, bought the clothes i liked and then kinda forgot about the game.
Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is pretty sick too

That Mirelurk thing is just hard as hell. But when you get a combat shotgun things will get easier.
