Police is no joke in this game. 3 stars on the highway with a slower car and you're legitimately fucked.

Also if you're in the wrong place, a simple car jack becomes a whole ordeal and will mess up any plans you had.

Does anyone know how to get out of the car straight into cover? I think I read that was possible.

I was only able to play like 30 min last night. And prolly won't be able to play much till weekend.

I didn't like the driving at first but I've completely changed my mind. It's damn near flawless. It's just super hard with sports cars that have a a lot of grip.


Man, the explosions. Never had so much fun blowing shit up.

Driving is awesome. I hold the left stick up and rotate it for slight turns. I'm glad they put in an option for a high camera. Been playing for 4 hours.

Yeah, you have to do the story or continually wander to get any money/weapons, etc, and unlock things in order to have some free roam fun. I have been doing all the question mark side quests and keeping the money from anybody I see robbing someone.

so far i have 3 hours played (stupid fucking overtime. these 70 hour work weeks are hurting my game time) and have only done the first 3 missions. pretty much spent the entire time driving around. i did 3 laps around the map just for the hell of it

I failed 3 times in the first 2 missions.

1) Shot a hostage in opening scene like 2 seconds in. "How do I shoot? Whoops..."
2) Couldn't aim and shot "M" instead of the guard
3) Tried to steal the car but the owner kicked me out of the car because I couldn't figure out how to start the car. Eventually started driving but started too late

One thing in common...the commands are kind of awkward, especially for someone like me who is very used to GTA on PC's. Aiming with the sticks is hard enough. I changed aim sensitivity so I hope it's better.

Also, I've played about 20 or 30 minutes of it. Franklin and Lamar took about 10 minutes because of the super-long chase it took to get rid of the cops (plus the initial failure)

That, plus me feeling super-tired today, not getting much GTA V time done today.

Darn this game. An office mate got his PS3 copy yesterday and I wondered if my PC can run this thing.

The biker mission is pretty tough, especially if you can't aim with a joystick like me. You have to ram the biker off the road. It's sad when you have to drive through sidewalks and take shortcuts just to ram him down, mind you (and theoretically the mission says you're supposed to shoot him...but it's too hard to drive in traffic while "aiming" with B, and trying to shoot at him with LB while moving the right joystick around.)

One of the most frustrating missions I've played, and it's only the 3rd mission of the game.

Missions like these really make you wish this had come out for PC simultaneously. Because the 360 controls are garbage.

i cant stand aiming with the analog and really cant wait for this to hit the pc so i can once again harness the power of the mouse

Drive-byes are a little easier with the complex crosshair. It's really hard to find that small dot while driving.

yea, I'm doing fine with the shooting, did you guys change it away from Classic GTA in the options? have you tried other options? I mean, the shit snaps on...

and under display > weapon target, you can change it to the GTA IV dot with a circle.

its taking me a bit to get used to the controls. in 4 i set the controls to classic so i was accelerating with the X button but now i have to use the R2. not bad just fighting muscle memory right now.
