Same as Yohance, just got back from Hancock and the twist totally threw me off, pretty dramatic but funny at times too, plus quick changes in the mood. Overall pretty damn good movie.

Just watch Hancock, great movie in my opinion. The plot twist makes-up for the short movie. Although i was hoping Hancock would be battling a villian

Saw 48 Hrs and then Mr. Bean's Holiday.

48 Hrs was pretty damn good, suprised me a bit to see James Remar in this movie, I remember him from the Mortal Kombat movies as Raiden. Also it was Eddie Murphy's film premier and was interesting to see him in a roll where he cusses, always talks about getting some ass, and all that, instead of comedy movies that he does now (and what my generation only gets to see).

Mr. Bean's Holiday was just plain (Y)

What are the odds that I watch two movies in one month about killer plants that are killing humans?

On having seen The Happening a few weeks ago, I saw 'The Ruins' recently. It was pretty gross at times, and the whole time I was thinking, just light the fucker on fire.

Saw Hancock, too. I wanted more and I agree on what has been said about the twist.

Don't bother. Its dogshit. The jokes aren't funny, and the storyline is cheesy and even boring. I like Michel Gondry, but he should stick to directing, not writing. (His last film, Science of Sleep was also written by him, and despite having its moments was very disappointing)

Damned kids. Dude did you miss the point of the movie? It wasnt supposed to be Eternal sunshine and all trippy and shit. Its about a town who unites over what film means to them. Its not supposed to be all deep and symbolic.

But it was poorly acted and cheesier than it had to be. Maybe I just hate Hallmark-esque movies. I expected more from such a good premise, director and cast.

Oh, and for the record, I thought Science of Sleep, which tried too hard to be trippy and symbolic, sucked too.

I just saw 'Funny Games' last night. Overall it was a pretty damn good movie, the preview kind of reminded me of 'A Clockwork Orange' so i had to see it. The movie is crazy, and shows how messed up in the head some young people in society are. Also Naomi Watts is pretty hot.

Finally got to watch Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay. Frankly, I expected more from it. The first movie was like, one of the best comedies I've ever watched, this was just average. I loved some of the jokes but the storyline overall wasn't as funny and captivating.

I watched Escape From Guantanamo Bay some days ago, and i found it alright, as you said, some good jokes but nothing special. I knew it was a second movie, but after watching it I didn't think the first one would be any better. Seems I have to watch it.

Saw Jumper last night....possibly one of worst movies that I've ever seen....plot was crap, acting was crap, everything was crap....very painful....I thought it would at least be average or some easy light entertainment....boy was I wrong....

Inspired by this thread, I watched Donnie Darko again. For the fourth, maybe fifth time. Still can't quite figure out how it all happens, though. I assume it takes into consideration parallel universes and/or time travel but it's all just too weird, and too much of a trip, to say the least. Terrific movie, nonetheless.

Also, I had some spare time and watched Smart People and (I can't believe I did) You Don't Mess with the Zohan.

First was watchable, worth it if you can manage Sarah Jessica Parker AND Ellen Page in the same movie. Crappy storyline, but good acting.

The second one, oh dear God, I can't believe they actually made a movie this bad. It's so bad I wish I had watched one of the Scary Movie-copycat movies instead. It's bad even for Adam Sandler, I mean, if you thought Little Nicky was bad, wait til you see this. Except don't, don't EVER see it! If you've already got tickets, burn them and run for your life! If you really want to watch an Adam Sandler movie, go get drunk and rent Billy Madison on your way home. Hilarious shit.

I wouldn't call it a good movie from a critical point of view but I actually didn't mind Little Nicky. Not one of his best though. I'm not planning to check out Zohan as it seems the kind of movie where the funniest bits are in the trailers and even then there's only one line that raises a chuckle.
