Anyway...Summerslam thoughts? I'd still like to see Cena turn heel, if nothing else it could ultimately freshen up his face character in the long run and as risky as it would be with the younger audience, I think it would be worth it.

Well to be honest, Cena had to change his finisher from FU to Attitude Adjustment didn't he? WWE these days seems like it's just for the little ones.
I don't think Team WWE stands a chance against those Nexus people, but we'll see come Summerslam. I'd like to see Orton take the title though.

Yeah, the PG initiative killed the few good things about Cena's character.

Corrected.

watching impact, Flair vs Jay Lethal in a street fight. Flair bloodied, stripped down to his underwear, with gratuitous wardrobe malfunctions, took a bunch of unprotected head shots, a superplex, and a huge back body drop......how is this old bastard still "healthy"?
I will say this, we got 3 "Flair Flops" in the match, I think that was the first time I found those funny.
MCMG vs Beer Money was great again, tied 2-2 in their series. Nothing else has really interested me but they did a good job of leading into Raven v Dreamer story wise in 1 show before the PPV.

Good call.

I remember those rap promos by Cena in 2003 where is says "Mother..." and the audience replies "fucker!" Good times when Cena was still watchable. Plus, he's doing the Spinebuster during those days too.

Massive doses of alcohol to numb the pain.

Missing the ending where he shows a "five second pose" and counts down on his fingers until he flips Christian off.

I remember watching that, I miss those days. Wasn't that when John Cena first got drafted to RAW?
Sat Aug 07, 2010 10:47 am
Yeah, very shortly afterwards if I recall correctly.

I remember watching that at my friend's house as I didn't have cable back then. Funny how time flies.

So as expected, it was revealed by Mysterio that Kane was "the one who attacked the Undertaker."
Shame Kane's run would indefinitely make him heel again and lose the title to Undertaker again (and another Kane-Undertaker feud).
Mon Aug 09, 2010 6:10 pm
Yeah, way too predictable. I don't think they've ever actually included a championship in their previous feuds though so I guess that part's original at least. If it means another title run for Taker, I can live with that.
Tue Aug 10, 2010 12:17 am
...here's hoping that they put up a good match. I'm seeing Mysterio getting the title back on SummerSlam because of an Undertaker distraction.

ECW PPV 2.0 was last night. I read the recap and it sounded awesome, but I am at my parents right now so I couldnt watch
Tue Aug 10, 2010 3:12 am
I've been reading reviews of it, they are mostly terrible so far. I was somewhat interested in watching it because it's not really TNA but still undecided on whether I'll bother. If Heyman was involved that would help.
Tue Aug 10, 2010 10:03 am
Heyman wasn't involved at all, apparently Tommy Dreamer booked the entire show.
Tue Aug 10, 2010 4:27 pm
Tommy Dreamer's got to let it go. He's been living off being "ECW" for the last 15 years.

It still appeals to a cult following though. I think TNA is willing to give anything a try at this point, their PPV buyrates have been terrible and the company is losing money as bringing in all the big names has not paid off. The ratings are alright but apparently it's a financial flop. Which is funny because as I'm sure I've noted before, Bischoff's slogan is "Controversy creates cash" yet WCW lost millions of dollars even as it was winning the ratings war and now TNA is also losing money. Bischoff's brand of controversy might spike interest in the short term, but it actually doesn't create cash as he famously claims.
