Anyone noticed that the WWE removed Triple H in their intro? Oh and also JR's "the world is watching" audio.

Yeah, there were some rumours about JR's removal that were blown out of proportion. I'd say HHH will be back once he's back on TV, I recall The Undertaker being omitted from Smackdown's intro while on hiatus.

Kane won the MITB match and cashed it in on Mysterio. Never thought I'd see Kane with a world title again.

I don't really understand why he's getting so much push. I mean c'mon, he has what, four finishers? One of the best entrance music in the WWE today? The US title? All those tag title reigns? And a (short) program with Bret Hart? Now the MITB winner? He doesn't even put up a decent match (well if it weren't against Kingston or Morrison).

That's the thing I hate about the WWE with all this "shaking-up" stuff with the draft. Morrison -- a talented guy that could compare to HBK if he had the proper booking and push -- had a good run on Smackdown last year and then they brought him back to Raw and suddenly he just disappeared on PPVs.

Miz is another person who seems to be generally favoured by the IWC and I'm not sure why. He's not a bad worker, he's fairly good on the mike (don't know how his catchphrase is over though, it's insultingly simplistic and dull...Barney Stinson makes AWESOME work so much better) but a main event push? Eh, I'm not that excited about it.

Kane/Taker has been done to death but if there's a title involved then maybe Taker will get another reign to pad his career achievements out a little.

To be fair, how many thought back in 2005 that Edge would become what he is today? I'd wait until he's cashed in to determine how good a decision it is, it could be a full year yet.

I would say Edge had been built a little better even in 2005 but you're right, let's see how they handle it. I'm just a little puzzled by the hype for Miz I sometimes see on wrestling sites, like I said he's not bad but I personally wouldn't rate him quite as high as some people seem to do.

Yes and no. There certainly are similarities but the nWo featured established names in the industry and the Invasion featured two promotions (well, in kayfabe at any rate since WCW was of course a WWF entity at that point).

Finally seen Money in the Bank. Pretty decent PPV IMO. The Smackdown MITB match > the Raw MITB match. Smackdown's MITB has a lot of bumps and great spots (Boom Drop from Kofi, Chokeslam galore from Kane, among others), Raw's just meh. And having Miz win is double meh.

I think Eve Torres is a good performer and it was quite a shame to see her in a match with botch-ridden Alicia Fox.

Gotta hand it to Miz for his work ethic and all that, but I'm still not sure about him as a main eventer. Booked properly with the right build, sure. I still can't believe his catchphrase is over though.

I don't think a re-hash of the gimmick would work either.
