Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH, etc)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

I can see where he's coming from but it's still ridiculous. It's funny how they talk about the WWE Universe speaking their mind and all that, but whenever it's something they don't like they panic and rush to censor it. On one hand it's fair enough because it's their show and all, but at the same time it's pretty disrespectful towards their audience and in this case, very limiting to their employees because that's a bread and butter move. Oh well.

:cheeky: I see that Undertaker is "shaping up" for his return. :cheeky:

EDIT: Banning even the chops is so much for a "company move" for Vince. Like he wasn't able to milk money out of Flair during his tenure in the WWE. :shake:

They remove profiles of people like Flair from the Alumni section of WWE.com as well. It makes sense as they don't want to promote another company who is trying to compete with them, but it's not like they have to mention anything they've done outside WWE. In fact, removing the profiles probably draws more attention to the individuals in question.

Wrestlezone says the chop has been banned for years, only Ric and HBK were allowed to do it.

watching the TNA PPV right now, the Beer Money vs Motor City Machine Guns tag match is an instant classic for me. Not much of a feud build up (cmon, its TNA), but that was a 5* match for sure.

Check it out when it gets on youtubes

Did the WWE changed the name of the big gold belt? Matt Striker used to call it the World Championship lately and I've also noticed SD's main event promo poster(?) (I don't what it is called, when they show the card/ matches in their PPV) it reads as Rey Mysterio vs Jack Swagger for the World Championship.

I guess not. I've checked their website and the WHC name is still there.

It's probably just to avoid implying that Mysterio is a heavyweight, but on top of that it's pretty much an interchangeable name for the title. The name hasn't officially changed. And it's Matt Striker.

Agreed, great match. Also glad the Guns got some gold at last.
Sabin had some great spots, the stepup enzeguri/ddt and the punt from the apron were awesome

looks like TNA is going to overdo it/capitalize on it. something about a best of 5 matches between them starting thursday. 4 impact matches followed by a PPV match I guess.

also E-C-DUB!
*The final segment is an announcement from Ric Flair.Ric Flair comes out with AJ Styles and Frankie Kazarian. Flair said that the PPV was the worst night of his career, then announces Styles and Kaz as the first two members of Fortune. Desmond Wolfe came out and protests, but Abyss hits the ring so they all leave. Abyss calls out Rob Van Dam. He tells RVD "they are coming" and once "they get here", no one can stop them. He tells RVD that he has been instructed to bring them the TNA title. He says at Hard Justice, they are going to hang Janice 15 feet in the air and have an Extreme Anything Goes match. RVD and Abyss start fighting. Abyss gets the upper hand. Ink, Inc. comes out to help but aren't able to stop Abyss. The former ECW guys hop the rail as Mick Foley appears on the stage. They charge the ring and attack Abyss to rescue RVD. Security, agents and TNA wrestlers hit the ring and it's a crazy brawl. Names like Al Snow, Simon Diamond and Devon side with the ECW guys and it's the former ECW brawling with everyone and anyone associated with TNA and the crowd is going nuts for the two sides. Dixie Carter is trying to keep the peace but it's impossible. In the end, ECW takes over with Foley in charge. The end was awesome and actually better than the WWE vs. Nexus angles as everyone fought and no one ran away after 30 seconds.

That's kinda expected with the depth of the current TNA roster. Much so, if they're pulling up an ECW-environment and ECW-type of match, I might watch the next PPV.

So apparently, Hard Justice will be the one night return of ECW. I'm interested to hear how TNA is going to promote that since WWE still owns all the ECW trademarks. I guess it's in spirit only and they'll dance around it with a different name, but I doubt WWE is just going to let them use their intellectual property.

whats interesting is that TNA uses plants in the crowd wearing certain T-shirts, certain signs and I guess even hot chicks in the front row......so, who's starting those loud ECW chants every week. The "crowd"?

Same "crowd" that is told each week that they are extras, not crowd members?

They do? That's kind of...minor league, of them. Still, the WWE censors and silences their "Universe" so that's not much better.

Finally got around to watching last week's SmackDown!, am wondering when somebody is going to work out how to book Rey Mysterio as a world champion. He wasn't even on TV the first week, and he's been destroyed by Jack Swagger the other two weeks.

The first of five match they had on Impact was a Ladder match and was a really good spot fest. A must watch as well.

That spot on RAW where Orton countered Bourne's shooting star press with the RKO was awesome. Here's hoping Bourne doesn't mess up and Orton goes crying to the office about him to kill his push as he did with Kofi Kingston. Cause, you know, Orton's never erred in his career.
