Its sad that everytime a call goes against the US they try to indirectly suggest on the tele that the Italians are faking or diving while everytime they are fouled its an accurate call, and with this red card they complain about the ref being quick on the trigger for their red card yet never saw any issue with how quick the other one was granted.

I'm starting to like ESPN. Kinda entertaining if you look at it from a humorous perspective. I cant wait to hear the whining during the halftime show.(y)

the game is too "fouly", this way both teams will lose by W.O. The referee did a good jog though on showing both red cards, it should show the players he is in charge.. lets see what the 2nd half has to show.. i hope a more open game :)

Pope is gone!!! :lol:Long time coming I believe. He had a couple iffy tackles after his first yellow card so I have no problems with this one.

I just heard a guy saying that with all these foul calls it takes away the grabbing, the pulling and rough tackles and takes away the beauty of the game. Whats beautiful about guys tackling each other like wild animals?

Guys on the tele just sound oh so bitter. The US' chance is slipping away so its only natural to blame the refs.

I honestly dont believe the refs are having that bad a game. Besides from the USAs first red which was kind of a stretch, they havent been as bad as they try to make it seem. Its just sad its the only thing theyll be talking about the rest of the match so it seems worse than it is.

Pope definately deserves it since it was a tackle from behind.

Maybe some higher/divine power enjoys playing with peoples emotions. This has been an up and down game for both countries.

What the hell! Beasley FTW! but offside and Italian man down.

Screw yellow cards, let's even out the game by giving out offsides

Some US guy was offside and obstructing the goalies view so I guess its a good call.

On another note, am I the only person who thinks Bruce is gay?

...the US coach.

Why would he be gay dada?
The US goalkepper is really doing everything he can to do to keep 1-1 score. And then save from Del Piero's shoot.
Edit:The game is over 1-1.Italy had so many chances, but they failed to score another goal.

I dont know really. Just the way he walk, talks and carries himself always gives me that feeling. Like a big, hulky gay guy. I'm wondering if he is married or anything that can show to me he isnt.

What a shame!! A tie with USA?!!? What the hell is that??! Even Zimbabwe could beat USA man!!
This is the worst match Italy played in the World Cup since 1974... Toni and Iaquinta were always offside, De Rossi just got crazy and got a red card, Totti played only 30 minutes, Zaccardo is a fucking idiot who just can't control his own foot, and Lippi is a moron for letting him play (How can you let someone who plays for AC Palermo play in the Italian national team?!?!?!?! Palermo's not even a regular Serie A team!!!)
USA didn't play better but at least they played at their level, we played at like 1% of our capacities! Weird :x
Respect to Pirlo, Del Piero and Gattuso...They were the only ones that played a good match.
Dear Old World, you represent everything that's wrong...

someones seriously overrated Italy's capabilities

So now

Italy 4pnts............GD +2
Ghana 3pnts........ 0
Czech Rep. 3pnts........+1
USA 1pnt.......-3

Italy vs Czech Rep.....Italy need draw, Czech Rep. need win (or draw if USA win)
USA vs Ghana.......USA need BIG win......Ghana need win (or draw if Czech rep loses)

I think goal difference measures tied teams but no too sure on that so that means USA needs a big win against Ghana if Czech. Rep draw (4 goal difference). Ghana goes through on a win but ideally they'd like Czech's to lose.

Italy & Ghana go through. Czech. Rep are too thin atm.

Damn....fucking referee decides to be red card happy in italy-us game. the call against masteroni was bullshit, that was yellow at most. now we are gonna be shorthanded against ghana. its going to be hard to advance after ghana did well against czechs, but we could pull out a 1-0 win with full effort from keller and other reserves.
