So we now have no non-gimmick PPVs? Awesome. They seem to have missed the point of gimmick matches.

well aside from Wrestlemania and Summerslam? no (Royal Rumble is the original gimmick PPV)

That's my concern too but the gimmick PPVs did good business last year so it seems a sensible strategy, even if it seems like overkill to us.

Has there been a watchable WWE program aside from there PPV and also I don't like the gimmicky PPV names. Since there is a Fatal Four Way there should be a Triple Threat or a One on One.

If you like wrestling you are better off with dragon gate usa.

If there would be a One-on-One, they would name it like err, WWE Singles or worse: WWE Man-to-Man.

I think that's basically going to be Wrestlemania, aside from a couple of token tag matches perhaps.

Or perhaps WWE Mano-a-Mano, because that's what it translates to and we won't let those damn Mexicans tell us otherwise!

My thoughts on tomorrow's Elimination Chamber:
Sheamus will retain and would face whoever is the last guy he faces in the Chamber. Shawn Michaels will interfere in the Smackdown chamber or would likely replace an entrant and would cause 'Taker to lose the championship (apparently would force 'Taker to have a rematch with Shawn at WrestleMania) and Jericho would win it to face Edge at WrestleMania.
Sun Feb 21, 2010 11:16 pm
Agreed, that seems the likely way of pushing things along on the road to Wrestlemania.

I just have a feeling for either Cena, Orton, Triple H to face Sheamus at WrestleMania. I am tired of them being in a championship match, let alone on the WrestleMania main event. Too bad Kingston and DiBiase has a pretty low chance of winning it but I wish the WWE could surprise us.

One buzz going around is to put the belt on John Morrison, because his contract is coming to a close. They worked a injury the last couple of weeks to make fans believe he has no chance at all, then land the upset.
One option then would be Randy Orton winning the RAW Chamber and Edge going after the WWE title, Morrison would be challenged by Jericho or CM Punk.
The other option is that Edge challanges Morrison and Jericho would sneak his way into the match.
Just rumors though, of course it would make more sense to put Morrison out of the Chamber because of his 'injury' and put Michaels in, screw Taker out of the title, with Jericho winning the whole thing. Thus leading to the obvious matches that are Edge/Jericho, Taker/HBK, Orton/DiBiase and HHH/Sheamus.
I just think they might do something different because everybody is expecting Jericho to win it at this point.
We'll see.

Morrison winning the WHC looks fresh to me. And the WWE should put up a beefed contract to keep talented guys like him.
Mon Feb 22, 2010 7:49 am
I wouldn't mind seeing that either, I think he's been built up well with his IC and tag title runs and fleeting appearances in the main event.
Mon Feb 22, 2010 2:31 pm
I thought its Hornswoggle! Its Hornswoggle! Where did he came from?
Mon Feb 22, 2010 3:37 pm
I was correct about the Smackdown chamber.

EDIT:
So if Batista is WWE Champion and the McMahon-Hart feud continues with Batista and Cena as their respective henchmen, does it mean that it will be for the title and Cena will AGAIN win the title?
Mon Feb 22, 2010 4:29 pm
Probably. I think they've dropped the ball again with the WWE Championship. They pushed Sheamus a bit too quickly and didn't help by booking him to look weak with DQ wins, then they give Cena another reign for two minutes so they can pull another swerve. Overbooked and just badly booked. It's amazing RAW's ratings aren't suffering between that and the tired guest host gimmicks.
It's a shame to see Taker's reign come to an end, but it makes sense given the plans for Wrestlemania and that he'll be taking some time off. I'm guessing they'll have him go over HBK again, it doesn't make a lot of sense to have his streak broken by someone who could be retiring very soon and who would've cost him the title a month earlier. I think it'll be a fine match, but a letdown after last year's brilliance. Would've been nice to see him defend the title at Wrestlemania, hold it, then drop it afterwards.
Tue Feb 23, 2010 1:14 am
Who would've guessed it, they went with the obvious, all around expected finish.
Expect Morrison to win MITB!
I kinda liked the end of the RAW chamber, even though Cena getting a two minute reign isn't the best of choices. Frankly the Cena/Batista feud is the last one that needs a title involved because of the whole Hart/McMahon thing, whereas HHH/Sheamus would've needed the belt since there isn't anything else to build on. What I do like is that the Batista not giving a crap storyline makes perfect sense now.
Oh and, why the hell make the Divas' bout a tag team bout, just get this tournament over with already ..
Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:04 am
Sure shows how much confidence they've got in the women's division, doesn't it? Not the best idea to pull a bait and switch on PPV like that.
Meanwhile,
close shave for the Undertaker.
Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:40 am
Maybe they should put the flames somewhere else.
Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:46 am
They'll probably have to go a different route for his big Wrestlemania entrance, from all accounts he wasn't too pleased about the close call (and who could blame him?).
Tue Feb 23, 2010 8:58 am
That incident may lead to the scrapping of pyros, no one should blame 'Taker for it.
Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:29 am
Chris Jericho took a shot at TNA on his Twitter:
Chris Jericho wrote:Wow, World Champion for the sixth time. This could never happen in TNA!
I'm not the biggest fan of potshots, but given Bischoff's remarks about Jericho about a month ago I'd say they deserve it.
Tue Feb 23, 2010 3:55 pm
Isn't this the second time 'Taker's been hit in the face by pyro? I think someone has it out for him.
Tue Feb 23, 2010 5:49 pm
I can't remember the other incident if this is the second time, but on reflection it's a little surprising (and certainly fortunate) that it doesn't happen more often with the pyro the WWE makes use of.
