You're not serious are you Dahl? I haven't watched any Liverpool matches but, if Dahl is serious, WTF.

Well, that wasn't too serious.. And they'll probably set up their usual 2-4-4, or maybe just Torres on top. But, play a very defensively minded game. I'm sure I would to, if I managed to get two goals up on one of the best teams in the world, and then had to defend that score on their home pitch in order to advance in one of the most prestigious tournaments in football..

They might do a 1-4-5 formation or a 1-5-4. I've seen Liverpool experiment with it before. Inter will probably go with an attacking 3-4-3 and won't concentrate on defense much. They've got nothing to lose and I expect they will sub some extra attackers in, halfway through the match. The pressure will be on Liverpool though, they are the ones that need to play a highly defensive game. Which isn't always the best idea.

Here are the results of the second leg matches in the final 16 (minus the second-leg of the Liverpool-InterMilan match, that will be played on March 11); team that played first match at home listed first, advancing team bolded, aggregate listed after:
Celtic 0-1 Barcelona (2-4)
Lyon 0-1 Manchester Utd (1-2)
Fenebahce 2-3 Sevilla (5-5; Fenebahce wins in penalty shootout)
Arsenal 2-0 AC Milan (2-0)
Schalke 0-1 Porto (1-1; Schalke wins in penalty shootout)
Roma 2-1 Real Madrid (4-2)
Olympiacos 0-3 Chelsea (0-3)

Second leg of the the Liverpool-InterMilan matchup for Champions League got played today, with Liverpool winning 1-0, aggregate was 3-0 going to Liverpool. That makes it 4 English teams (Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester Utd, and Liverpool) going into the quarter finals, first time any country has had 4 teams represented at this stage of the Champions League. Here are the remaining teams going into the quarter-finals, the draw will happen on March 14th to decide who plays who:
Barcelona
Manchester Utd
Fenebahce
Arsenal
Schalke
Roma
Chelsea
Liverpool

Good updates motherfucker, I mean Mofo.

The draw for the quarter-finals took place, and here's how it looks:
Arsenal vs. Liverpool
AS Roma vs. Manchester Utd.
Schalke vs. Barcelona
Fenerbahce vs. Chelsea
First leg: April 1, 2
Second leg: April 8, 9
I'm predicting the following teams to go to the semi-finals: Arsenal, Man Utd, Barcelona, Chelsea. If it wasn't Liverpool playing Arsenal, and they were matched up with a non-English team, coulda been an All-English semi-final; though whoever played Barcelona I would guess would have a hard time getting through, putting an end to that "what if".
Little interesting fact about the Arsenal-Liverpool matchup: these two teams play each other in the EPL inbetween their first and second leg matches. Wow.

Hehe, that's awesome. You don't see 3 games in a row against the same opponent all the time.
Liverpool, Barça, Chelsea and I want Roma to win but probably Man U will. You know, 7-0 or sth like that.
Sat Mar 15, 2008 12:58 pm
Fenerbahce and Schalke guarantee this is alot more boring than it should have been. I'd say Arsenal, United, Barca and Chelsea.
Wed Mar 19, 2008 1:12 pm
My final four would be Roma (only because Im a Roma fan, but seriously I think United will win

), Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea
Thu Mar 20, 2008 3:00 am
Chelsea is like the New York Yankees/New England Patriots/Los Angeles Lakers for me. My gut says I have to hate them.
Thu Mar 20, 2008 3:33 am
I already hate them. I always hated them. I dont know why, maybe because the have such a good team
Thu Mar 27, 2008 3:49 pm
Manchester United are 1st by 5 points after beating Liverpool 3-0 and once again Ronaldo gets a goal. If he dosen't win World Player of the Year then it's fkn rigged. Chelsea also beat Arsenal 2-1 and are now 2nd. I can't see Arsenal bouncing back with the way they have been playing lately in the league.
Sun Mar 30, 2008 6:30 pm
Arsenal surprised me by winning 3-2 against Bolton after they were behind 2-0 with only ten players. Manchester United dominated Aston Villa with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring (yet again), Tevez and Rooney grabbed two for himself.
Wed Apr 02, 2008 9:37 am
AS Roma vs. Manchester Utd. (0-2)
Schalke vs. Barcelona (0-1)
this results were predictable
Thu Apr 03, 2008 6:35 am
All first leg matches of the quarter-finals have now been played. sang already listed the first day of first-leg matches (though I'll list those anyway), time for the second day of the first-leg matches. Winning team bolded, team that played first leg at home listed first.
AS Roma 0-2 Manchester Utd
FC Schalke 0-1 Barcelona
Fenebahce 2-1 Chelsea
Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool
Thu Apr 03, 2008 7:04 am
Suprising second day, especially Chelsea's loss.
Fri Apr 04, 2008 4:52 am
i would love to see fenerbahce making the semifinals
Fri Apr 04, 2008 9:58 am
What a goal by Deivid.
Fri Apr 04, 2008 11:19 am
which one?. he made two goals. one for his team, and one for chelsea
Fri Apr 04, 2008 1:07 pm
That just proves he's a great scorer.
Fri Apr 04, 2008 1:32 pm
Both goals were pretty cool, but I was talking about this 2nd one.
Fri Apr 04, 2008 2:06 pm
Pwoah, that goal was a stunner.
Manchester should get past Roma after picking up two away goals but you never know, especially with Roma's result against Real away.
btw, Nicklas Bendtner you fucking idiot
Thu Apr 10, 2008 10:29 am
no surprises, the four semifinalist deserves their win.
