Damn you Jao.

"Hulk Hogan we comin for you niggah!"

Booker T was good back then. The real intro isn't bad either. Million Dollar Man is one of the awesomest heels in WWE history.

still waiting for MDM to come back and give the Million Dollar Championship to Junior, that'd be awesome.

Not a bad idea. Have Sheamus 'sell' the WWE belt to a 'secret' buyer. Ted reveals himself gives the belt to his son and says his classic line.
The belt goes to Legacy and WWE can resume the carousel of the belt with Cena-Orton-whoever that they had.

The dirtsheets have previously reported that Junior is expected to undergo a face turn at some point, similar to the way Batista turned on HHH back in 2005. They've had a couple of false starts with it though.

Yeah, I thought Ted Junior would turn during those series of matches with Orton.

It seemed like a good time, the crowd was starting to get behind him and a face turn appeared to be the natural course of action. Apparently creative didn't have complete confidence in the crowd reactions though.

so my current favorite wrestler in the WWE, Tommy Dreamer, has been released from his contract

i remember a few months ago he was going to walk if they didnt give him the ECW championship and they gave him a nice little run and then allowed him to leave on his own terms, on the last ECW of the decade by taking off his ECW t-shirt and laying it in the ring. nice touch

symbolic in a way too, because last night he posted on his myspace that he might goto TNA, lol, which is awesome IMO because Tommy didn't really fit well in the PG ECW, he's not a wrestler, he's Foley, a hardcore brawler who can do big bumps and that is pretty much it.

So fingers crossed for more ECW originals going to TNA to get some more TV ring time in hardcore matches, even if it doesn't help TNA with their new stories or whatever. I just want to see these guys get hardcore like WWE videogames and not PG like WWE TV.

Yeah, hopefully he'll be able to wrestle matches that are more his style. Still, between Hulk's proclamations that they'll beat RAW and that he'll become the Vince McMahon of TNA, I think the Hulkster's getting delusional in his old age. I saw his book while I was out shopping before Christmas and had a quick flick through it and honestly, I think it's further proof of his escalating madness with more allusions to the guy who was killed drag racing his son Nick having done something to be punished by God and other ridiculous tripe.

It's hilarious how Hogan and Bischoff are talking shit about the WWE while shaping up to rehash the mid 90s, only for McMahon to go and achieve the seemingly impossible in bringing Bret Hart back onto WWE TV for a live appearance. For all the other eye-rolling things going on in WWE right now, that pretty much trumps anything Hogan and Bischoff are likely to do, which is a shame because competition would be great for the business. The sad thing is, they probably think they've got old Vinnie Mac running scared when in fact he's showing what kind of trump cards he has up his sleeve. Here's hoping Hogan and Bischoff have learned from their previous mistakes, but I don't know.

The thought has occurred that this could be an excellent opportunity for Bret Hart to get his revenge with a screwjob of his own, but I kind of doubt it as he seems to have too much respect for the business and his fans and if he's signed a contract then there could be issues there as well. You have to wonder how it's going to work out though, it's supposedly only a short term deal but I hope he can see it through to the end without incident and leave on good terms. Who'd have ever thought we'd see that?

not defending him, cause I dont really like Hogan nowadays, but the comment on him being the Vince McMahon of TNA I thought was in response what his role was in TNA. So a personality that has a lot of backstage control but not necessarily a wrestler.

a lot of people seem to be going into this TNA situation with a huge negative attitude. I personally hate what the WWE has become because of the PG crap and the ~20 minutes of wrestling in a 2 hour show. There is too much talking and too little risk in their stories. Sheamus becoming the champion IMO is the best thing they've done since I've started watching again and that is just pathetic because they still haven't shown Sheamus as the monster they could have. The only other story in the past 6 months that I've liked is Kofi vs Orton, but that fizzles out seemingly every other week and isn't consistent. DX reforming was cool again, until the glowsticks and merchandising started and now is dead to me because of the midget.

The fact that a Knockouts match in TNA, of which I had zero background information on the story, entertained me more than any of the televised raw main events with feuds going on shows me that I am looking for wrestling and not stories. And hopefully that is what TNA is going to deliver to me. More wrestlers I know and are nostalgic about, less storylines, and more wrasslin/bleeding/cussing/boobs.
Opinions are my own.

Nice to see Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon in that segment confirming Bret Hart as the next guest host on Raw.

While searching for a video of Bret Hart's appearance in the Simpsons, found this...

Perhaps it is just that, though as it came in the midst of a bunch of potshots at WWE who knows. A bit funny that Hogan was praising UFC for beating WWE in the PPV market when TNA is so far behind and is still having trouble selling out those events. I think the time for talk has ended and TNA will need to prove their worth, not just keep bashing the WWE and coming off as minor league.

I agree there's a lot of negativity surrounding Hogan and Bischoff in TNA and I'd like to think they'll do some good, but I think their track record makes a lot of people skeptical. Bischoff was so ratings orientated back in the days of WCW that he gave away big matches on TV, ruining PPV buyrates. Reading The Death of WCW, it doesn't seem like he planned much for the future either and he certainly ran the nWo into the ground. Bret Hart isn't that complimentary towards him in his book either and while I wouldn't call him an idiot, I disagree with the smarks who call him a genius and Vince McMahon simply lucky. Hogan meanwhile has not made a career of doing the right thing for the business so it remains to be seen what he'll bring to the table. Maybe they'll bring fresh ideas but I just can't shake the feeling that they're going to just try and rehash the mid 90s and do the complete opposite of what they're trying to achieve.

that caters almost directly to me though, after watching a few PPVs, I would never spend 40-50 bucks on that

It also contributed to the company going out of business though, since PPVs are where they make their money. I know where you're coming from though, Wrestlemania tends to be the only PPV I buy every year.

Some years ago, Cole and Taz had their own radio show and someone called in to try and take Cole to task about his performance as an announcer, only to encounter a very different personality than the one to which they were accustomed.
