Is the Heavyweight title match between Taker and Batista? Hmm. Will try to take a glimpse of the opening match to see if it's is worth watching

Yes it is.

The opening match is good and I liked it. Face paced match but the ladders could be better use though. Shelton is still the athletic kind of guy that I used to watch and loved. Too bad for him not winning though and it kinda pissed me off in the beginning where some medic guy treat Christian when he hit his head in the ladder. What the hell is that? I loved the crowd chant of WE WANT BLOOD!

Time to watch the second match.

Sheamus winning the title is something....

...that would lead to another five-knuckle-shuffle. :shake:

OK here's the deal.

If you watch cloesely, you see Cena falling from the turnbuckle without any help from Sheamus. Now, if you look at how Sheamus falls, I think we've never seen somebody fall this awkwardly from a turnbuckle. If you ask me, Sheamus was definitely supposed to fall through the table that was standing to the outside thus creating a draw, thus making Cena retain the title.
Not only did it take some time until Sheamus' music hits, he looks genuinely surprised. Of course they had to go with it at that point and sell it, but I wonder what's going to happen at RAW tonight. Where are they going from there, are they immediately putting the belt back on Cena or do they make somethinhg out of it?

From what I've read, it wasn't an accident; it was definitely booked that way. Still not the right way to go in my opinion.

Re: WWE Thread

Tue Dec 15, 2009 10:55 am

Botch was the first thing I thought of when i saw that table down there though

So the Superstar of the year slammy is going to be a tournament

taker vs orton

cena vs Punk

my money is on Taker with interference, from THE CHAMP, Sheamus against Cena

and man, this opening bit is way too high brow for WWE crowds

Sounds like Dennis Miller didn't work out too great as a guest host.

Dennis Miller as WWE guest host? Who thought of that suicide?

Lol at Vince getting pissed off with the crowd.

P.S. I really hate Cena

Re: WWE Thread

A lot of people do. I don't hate him as others do, but I'm in favour of a less corny gimmick and better booking.

Report: Bret Hart Signs Short-Term Deal With WWE

WNW wrote:Dave Meltzer is reporting that Bret Hart has signed a short-term contract with WWE. According to Meltzer, Hart has signed a contract that will run from January 1, 2010 until April 10, 2010 which would make him eligible to appear at WrestleMania XXVI. WWE made hints to a Hart return this past Monday on Raw.

That would easily trump Hogan to TNA for me.

Re: WWE Thread

i dont like him, but he's from MA so i dont really mind him

I'd just like to see a better Wrestling / Talking ratio. Average match time for the Raw was 4 minutes I think and there was a total of 20 minutes of wrestling in a 3 hour show....just, no thank you to that

Re: WWE Thread

WCW was doing that a lot when it was starting to go under. They did questionable things with their world title, too.

Indeed. I guess Bret will only be there to guest host Raw.

Re: WWE Thread

If it's really going to happen, perhaps he'll have a short program as an additional manager/mentor for the Hart Dynasty. It'd be great to see him get a proper sendoff at Wrestlemania 26 (assuming he ends up staying short term), much better than Montreal. Then perhaps they can finally put Montreal and all the references/"tributes" to it in other matches to rest. Of course, this being professional wrestling...

Re: WWE Thread

It might happen on the next Smackdown: DX and the Hart Dynasty for the Unified Tag Titles.

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Dec 20, 2009 9:17 am

Perhaps. I'm guessing they'd rather have his return on a live show though.
