Nope. That's a cop out. You have to lose more weight again.

I thought Jake was an Adventure Time reference in the title, maybe dunking wearing a costume or using props.
I am disappoints.

Had a really rough end of the semester, lots of junk food. Now that I have time that should be changing though.

Immediately thought of this:
Also...new location, or just a different angle to what we've seen before?

new location, huuuge playground for the girls, 2 courts for me

Your calves had no choice but to get bigger to carry your heavy weight around.
Science.

That's one of the most fucked up responses I've read on here lately.
Good on you Jao, have you considered strength training along with basketball?
Fri Aug 01, 2014 9:25 pm
eh no worse than what he or you said in the Wii Fit thread
Closest gyms are 30 minutes away, expensive as hell, and are geared more for women. Just found some bodyweight sets that should definitely work and probably be classified as strength training
Sat Aug 02, 2014 5:17 am
Haha my apologies, my personalities can be a bit rude.
That's messed up about the gyms, especially with the whole health movement that's happening at the moment. You mentioned you're at a playground with the girls too, right? Try to see if you can do a couple of pullups here and there. You might just start off with 1-2 but over time you'll be able to crank out a few more.
Push ups at home are also a good option. If you can't do full bodyweight then build it up on your knees (

) till you can. A balance between cardiovascular exercise, strength(bodyweight) training & a healthy diet will bring you back to that scrawny lanky cutiepie you used to be.
Anyways best of luck & keep up the effort. Consistency is key.

Edit: Hey, I re-read that thread. I was nice.

scars forever man!

I wanted to add that doing this now is important. If you try later in your 30's it can be very difficult and require much more commitment.
How much time do you spend in between home and the court and back? If it's more than two hours, the gym might be worth it if they have a personal trainer that can get you on some intense training for an hour or more. You can spend your cool down days at the park.
rooting for you to make some good progress this year. Shoot for 290!

Homecourt! That rim is held up by a wish and pushpins. Probably low too. Just wanted to show what the closest hoop to my house looked like, and hopefully show why I don't play on it that often.

From yesterday
http://gfycat.com/LawfulHopefulDamselflyCurrent weight, unknown. I have lost a considerable amount of weight since the move. According to the scale at Leftos' place I am down around 280... Even if his scale is off/different than the one I was using in Vermont, I am down at least 10 pounds since I got here. If it's legit, and I should be able to check when in Vermont at the end of this week, then I may be down 20 pounds.
I have been eating better, been more active, and cut out most of the junk food/sugar from my diet (I still get a Snickers every other day or so).
So we'll see how long this lasts, if I rebound it all once my family joins me later this week or what. Not saying that they directly cause me to be fat, but when your 2.5 year old bakes something herself, I just can't turn that down.
Either way, I've gone from the 2nd notch to the 5th notch on my belts, my pants look ridiculously baggy and oversized on me (see video) and even the XXL shirts I normally wear, well, at least I feel like I'm swimming in them.
Never got or felt sick or weak either and I've been sleeping well, so I'll assume it's good weight loss based on that, cause 20 pounds in 2 weeks sounds scary as fuuuu

You look considerably thinner. Look like you got up easier, too. Hope you continue to on that path!
Sun Sep 28, 2014 10:01 am
Looks like California agrees with you so far. Keep up the good work.
Sun Sep 28, 2014 10:05 am
I might go to California for that

. But seriously though, that's a huge Improvement

People really underestimate the power of simply eating right without any exercise of some sort. Imagine the results you'd be getting if you were working out! Keep up the good work m8
Mon Sep 29, 2014 9:42 am
thanks guys, I really appreciate it
Like I said, I'm going to try and keep up with this in some way shape or form. Now if you'll excuse me I'll go back to my diet of sushi and In n Out.
