dont forget that he has a line right after that "thats what I call blowing your load" or whatever....I personally think killing people with carrots was worse than the sex scene
I'd say its even more over top than die hard...it was one of the beauties of a movie that spoofed and homaged at the same time.

Mon Jun 02, 2008 6:23 am

saw Meet the Spartans last night... wow.

Mon Jun 02, 2008 7:33 am

Those are pretty much the worse two movies ever made by mankind. Seriously.

Epic Movie and Meet The Spartans. Horrible. Horribly horrible is the only way to describe the atrocity that they call movies. :x

Mon Jun 02, 2008 7:52 am

The hilarity of Meet the Spartans is just amazing. Not cause the movie is actually hilarious but because it's so bad it's funny.

I saw "Remember the Daze" last night. Good movie, even though it practically has no storyline. Fun to watch with friends.

Mon Jun 02, 2008 10:17 am

I felt that Meet the Spartans ran out of humor from the middle of the movie until it ended.

Mon Jun 02, 2008 10:24 am

I felt that the movie ran out of humor before pre-production.

Mon Jun 02, 2008 10:27 am

I wasn't saying wow as a good thing, more like I was in shock from it.

I figured as much, but there are people that found it remotely funny.

I'd like to poke them with toothpicks. All the time.

Mon Jun 02, 2008 11:03 am

 I thought it was impossible any human being would actually find that movie funny. I watched a few minutes of it and laughed just because it was goddamn awful. I mean, all these movies are goddamn awful (all parody movies, starting with Scary Movie) but this one in particular was just... unwatchable, to say the least.

EDIT: Watched Numb and The Whole Nine Yards.

Loved the first one, wouldn't change a thing. People on the IMDb forums (or somewhere else, don't remember) insist the movie would've been better if they replaced Perry as the lead. I seriously don't see how the movie would've worked without him.

The second one I liked, just didn't like a few performances, namely Rosanna Arquette (Is that supposed to be a Quebecois accent?) and Kevin Pollak (again, what the fuck is that accent?). Other than that, it was an enjoyable comedy. A little too sarcastic and less realistic at some points (the accents, the Canadian police officers ), but still (Y).

Watched Derailed with Clive Owen, Jennifer Aniston, and Vincent Cassell. A really good movie with a lot of twists, and a completely unexpected ending. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It got poor ratings, but I didn't figure out the twists that apparently some people found to be obvious.

Also saw Spaceballs. I hear it's a cult classic, but honestly, I found it more boring than funny.

Mon Jun 02, 2008 2:15 pm

Speaking of Spaceballs, Bill Pullman came to our commencement last week, got a honorary degree.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 1:14 am

spaceballs as cult classic? since when did mel brooks become cult? Not sure how you didnt find it funny cy, i'm almost dying everytime i watch that movie. For a spoof, its definitely better than the shit out now

I saw some snippets of Jenny McCarthy's movie "Dirty Love" (I couldn't stand to sit through the whole thing), only because I'd seen it ranked as one of the worst movies ever made. I'd probably rank it slightly ahead of "Shallow Hal" simply because there's parts where "Dirty Love" is so unbelieveably terrible it's funny (in a twisted kind of way) but that aside it might just be the absolute worst film ever made.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 4:22 am

I liked that more than I liked Epic Movie. I mean Dirty Love still had Jenny McArthy and Carmen Electra...

Epic Movie...was epicly disappointing. No tits whatsoever.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 4:33 am

That was its other saving grace. I haven't seen Epic Movie, I gave up on that franchise after the first two Scary Movies. They were fine but since then it's become a bit much. Whatever cleverness was there to begin with seems to have gone.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 7:32 am

The scary movies atleast still make you chuckle, Epic Movie made me feel like throwing a brick at random passerby's.

You're fortunate you haven't seen it. I don't deem movies "worst of all time ever" very easily. But that...oh God.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 7:38 am

Quit bringing up the topic of Epic Movie Jackal, you're making my head hurt from the memory of watching that crap. I think my brain damage got worse after seeing that.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 8:05 am

Only memory I have from Epic Movie is the minute of topless girls.

I watched Shoot Em Up today. That was entertaining.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 9:13 am

I watched harold and kumar do something or another....the sequel to the first one. It wasn't as funny as the first but the sheer amount of delicious looking tits, ass and cunts in that one pool scene in the movie made it worth while.

1. you underestimate the power of drugs and alcohol my friend. one or the other, or better a combination of both, can make anything, let alone any movie, funny as shit

2. all paradoy movies do suck, they used to be good with movies like airplane and the sort, shit even the police acedemy movies had thier moments, but the movies now are just so fucking bad. the last one i watched was... ahh shit i forget the name, it was the sports one. anyway the entire movie was one big gay joke, so lame

Tue Jun 03, 2008 12:24 pm

  Okay, let me re-phrase: "I thought it was impossible any sober human being would actually find that movie funny...".

LOL now that you bring up this: next time you're drunk rent Billy Madison. You'll find yourself watching the first five minutes over and over again, and it gets funnier every time

God that's a good movie! I almost forgot about it. Must've been seven, eight years ago when I last watched it but I used to watch it all the time as a kid.

Tue Jun 03, 2008 1:51 pm

Scary Movie 1 & 2 and even Not Another Teen Movie at least had some cleverness in them and what wasn't clever still worked because the genre was still fresh at that point. The new ones don't look like they have much of a satirical edge, they're just taking scenes from as many movies as possible, renaming the characters so there's some kind of pun and then having them act stupid coming off like a compilation of bad SNL skits.

Re-watched Se7en tonight (watched it about ten years ago but I was in the first grade back then so I never really understood the movie). Best movie ever, period.

If you've never watched it, watch it. If you have, watch it again. The most realistic view on society you'll ever get out of a movie, or anything else for that matter. Plus, it's a fucking awesome crime flick and it has a great cast.

I think I'm gonna frame Kevin Spacey's lines and hang them on my wall.
