Civilization Revolution (360), Carcassone (Live Arcade), Catan (Live Arcade), World Series of Poker 2008 (360)

If anyone plays Carcassone, I'm up for a match anytime. Gamertag "Melwing".

I'm having lots of fun with Civilization Revolution.

I'm not used to playing a simplified version, but it works for, not against. It's very different from Civ IV, but it was well made, very well designed for the console and still remain fun and addictive. I'm sure I'll get bored of the game at some point, but for now, it's worth the money.

Completely agree. It's pretty well streamlined. The units/animations are just freaking cool, too. I usually use Zulu.

Just picked up Dead Or Alive 4 since me and my friends had some fun with the demo earlier today. I've actually been playing since 3pm, beat all the story lines to unlock the female halo spartan then brutally raped some smeesh online with her. Good fun for all.

Other than that today, all of my gaming has been local multiplayer games with my friends while they are still around for summer. Call of Duty 4 splitscreen on hardcore mode is waaay too much fun, some Fight Night round robins and Rock Band thrown in there for good measure. Oh and that Golf Tee It Up game Donny (Melwing) mentioned earlier. Oh and Worms, I love Worms.
Opinions are my own.

I bought Commanders: Attack of the Genos (I think that's what it is called) on Live Arcade... it *looks* cool but I am not quite getting the hang of it yet. It's a grid/turn-based strategy. It really seems a bit "off". Light Infantry units not being destroyed by huge tanks ("glancing hits"), but then in turn destroying the tank with one piddly bullet.

I'm going to give it another try this evening, but it looks like it's one of those that the demo gets you more excited than you should be. :?

Speaking of being excited about demos... Too Human.. omg. That's all the time I have at the moment, I wish I could elaborate.

Melwing, You should get Geometry Wars Evolved 2. I got it today and played for like 4 hours, getting achievements and topping all of BigKaboom2's scores. Tis a great game. Best 800 points I've ever spent.

Still playing my PS2 nowadays because of the odd getting of games that I do now instead of going over to the nearest mall to buy a game.

-Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution

At first I thought this game is a copycat of Tekken but realized it was the latter and become addicted to it.

-Kingdom Hearts

Become a fan of it, so I decided to pick the first version

-NBA Street Vol.2

If I managed to get this today then I will play it.

Still enjoying Geometry Wars 2 (even though BigKaboom is the only guy on my friends list who has it), but I spent my other 800 on Rez HD. It isn't quite the mindblowing experiences its hyped to be, but its awesome. Hated it at first, but now that I know how to play it, its great.

Buy a 1600 point card and get Geometry Wars 2 and Rez. (Y) (Y)

I'll try out the demo... however, I've played the first Geometry Wars and didn't really care for it. Not sure why.

It is genious, absolutely genious. Reviews are saying how easy it is, but I think alot of those people are just googling how to solve the puzzles, honestly. Through the first 3, maybe a bit into the 4th world are not too hard once you get a hang of the general idea, but after that, it's a mindbender.

It's not the same exact thing throughout the game. When you start, the first couple of worlds (out of 6) are a straight puzzle-platformer, except you have a button that rewinds time, basically. After that, each world has a new twist. Like in one, when you walk to the right, time move forwards; but when you move to the left time goes backwards.

And then later on you have your normal time controls back, but you have a shadow that, ahem, shadows your last movement before rewinding time, and you have to coordinate with that and do two things at once, essentially. It's really great. Pretty short for the high price of 1,200pts, honestly- but it's worth it in my opinion. Gorgeous graphics and music, and the story is interesting.

Lots of little Mario tributes in it, too.

Maybe it's really easy, you're just the one that's slow, have you thought of that possibility?

I just bought Madden 09 for the ps3. Not much has changed really, and I'm not surprised, but I couldn't resist doing a Jets franchise with Favre.

I accidentally dowloaded some content for Battlefield Heroes, thinking it was a demo because it was in that section. Since I don't have the game, I can't figure out how to delete the content.

I checked out the Madden 09 demo, and the actual game was alot harder then the "Madden Test" to set your difficulty, and that made it pretty impossible for me to do anything but throw interceptions and get sacked.

Facebreaker was boring. Pretty much a button masher. I wanted to see someone's face "break" so I went up against Peter Moore and let him pound the shit out of me. The face got tweaked pretty bad but I couldn't actually see a finish because the amount of time allowed for play is only 90 seconds.

I'm going to install Mass Effect, I will probably enjoy the hell out of it. I like branching storyline games with mixed FPS/RPG elements.
