And Stankovic can do way better I think.
Kezman needs to step up and create some chances for himself.
The defense is pretty good ! One mistake and on break away made the goal for the Netherlands, Robben was extremely good.
I hope Serbia does something and wins vs Argetnina.

And btw you live in Australia and are Serbian ?
And what do you think about this seperation Serbia / Montenegro ?

Stankovic played pretty crap against Netherlands, he can do heaps better and everyone knows it. I guess sometimes you get your bad games.

Kezman more than likely knows more on how to convert chances (he has good finishing) than create his own chances, thats all he pretty much knows and also running like a horse. Ljuboja (the guy that replaced Kezman in the game against Netherlands) is a heaps better player, he is extremly fast and controls the ball good, also Koroman is an awesome player, probably Serbia's best player.

Our defense is good, but Vidic is gone for the rest of the World Cup and that will hurt badly against Argentina! :x :x

One thing that I noticed in our first match was that they just kept going to Robben, he was the one that was creating all the chances. Van Nistelrooy played hopeless, did he even touch the ball??

About the split of Serbia & Montenegro, I really don't know what to say on that. Although, there won't be hardly any beaches there, and I love beaches :P

Ecuador just dominated against Costa Rica. They're an awesome side, I might bandwagon them if Croatia or Australia don't make it through to the next round.

Wow, the 'England - Trinidad and Tobago' game is a bust so far; It's very much like the 'Sweden - Trinidad and Tobago' game in many ways.. (n)

Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:55 am

England were REALLY unconvincing. If they were playing any other team that'd won a game in this tournament so far they would've lost by 2 quite easily.

Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:56 am

wow perfect end for England. I really hope their game will get better.

Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:58 am

it's the first round though, teams will get better as time progresses. Anyways, looks like Sweden is in a must win situation atm.

Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:58 am

I'm getting sick of the commentators here giving Rooney credit for the win. He didn't do anything. Made maybe one or two nice passes, but the only substitute who gave England a lift was Aaron Lennon. If anyone is to get credit for them scoring it's him, since he set up Gerrard and did well to get the ball to Beckham for the first one

I thought that guy who came on for Trinidad was good, until he had to shoot that is... he plays in the MLS, any Americans know much about him?

England are a different case, they ALWAYS choke horribly in these tournaments. If they win this year it'll be a complete miracle.

i almost felt bad for T&T  , great goal by trinidad in the end, too bad it was in offside :x

If you watch the replay you'll notice it wasn't offside...I hate asian/african referees, they think they're in a Taiwan vs Sri Lanka game and always do something wrong.

Agreed 100%. Rooney did nothing but I think that's just because he's still feeling the injury consequences...Where does Lennon play/sing?

It's ARGENTINA. I don't think Serbia's gonna win, I mean, Argentina's the main opponent (along with England) of Brazil to win this World Cup

Fri Jun 16, 2006 4:46 am

I dont get it. Rooney had only 47 days to recover, why the hell do they bring him in such a game .... It´s just nobody is so important that he is better than any other when he was injured for such a long time.

Thats just sick, I dont like everything Klinsmann says, but if you are not fit, you wont play for the Nationalteam (Ballack in game one for example)

I think T&T's performance so far shows that they are the most underrated team in these world cups. Sure they aren't as good as england..but they are certainly just as good or better than alot other teams. Glen shoulda been in it from the beginning.

Fri Jun 16, 2006 7:06 am

Sweden makes it. Pretty boring game ... Sweden didnt really convince me as a german, we may face the swedish next round ...

Fri Jun 16, 2006 7:43 am

Yet another bad game from the Swedes despite the win (n) Even if they move on to the second round (which seems increasingly likely at the moment), they'll probably yet again lose in the first game, unless they manage to really step up their game until then.. Ljungberg was the only player that had a good game really; although Källström also did a very good job in the first half; he, along with the rest of the team, got worse and worse as time prolonged..

I'm not sure about that. They still haven't scored a goal in this tournament, and they're basically gaining respect through their defense which is scrappy but impressive. I don't really think there's many teams in this tournament they could beat, but there's alot they could force a 0-0 draw with.

Where does Lennon play

Tottenham... I remember at one stage he was the youngest goal scorer in the Premier League (younger than Rooney) I think he was with Leeds at that stage, not too sure.

LMAO at when that expert analysis guy with the broken english said "I saw him touching his groin"

Sounded so corny :? .

I didn't catch the game but I'm assuming your talking about Cornell Glen?

He recently joined the Galaxy, I've seen him play like twice (think he was on the Metrostars) to be honest but basically he's good with the ball (dribbling) and has some pace nothing great but above average (pace that is) but he isn't anything but at best a mediocre player.
