fucking hell. Australians should get extreme heat days. There is never ever ever any chance of blizzards. We should get some sort of extreme weather day off. bloody hell.

:D So there is this song in SSX3, High Ground remixed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the X-Executioners.
http://www.easportsbig.com/games/ssx3/m ... ieID=hires

I have been searching for that song since the game came out. Looked at the game files and searched google seemingly forever.....with nothing

But tonight Pdub just helped me convert the damn song into 291 one second .wav files. Perfect? no, but it works and I finally got to listen to near 5 minutes of that song without interference from SSX. Almost 4 fuckin' years and I finally got to hear it.

I am so fucking happy.

That's a Stevie Wonder cover (Higher Ground) that's from Mother's Milk, unless you're talking about the remixed one in particular.

I feel tall again :D

Just came back from the Dinning Commons and when I was leaving I walked next to James Jimmy Life from the UMass basketball team. UMass says he's 6'6", I'd size him up to be a good 6'3" is anything.

Although I know he could probably jump over me, it does feel kinda good that I just towered over him.

Woohoo!!! Got approved to lease a 2 bedroom unit with my girlfriend. Now we can have our own place to do whatever we like.

:chug: :bday: :hump: :headbang: :applaud:

Really looking forward to it (if you haven't noticed).

Now I'm like an anti-bachelor, but a happy one at least!

Wed Apr 18, 2007 11:27 am

Be careful. Moving in with your girlfriend is a different beast than any previous relationship experience. Good luck! :chug:

Wed Apr 18, 2007 11:43 am

I know I have been living with her for almost a year already, just in a bigger place with more than just in it. Now we get our own apartment. Should be good.

I scored 9 goals in intermural ball hockey tonight, I'm feeling pretty good. I tried to pass, I really did, but if I had a shot I took it.

Cheers!

Moving out sooner than expected as well. This weekend, not the one after. Looks like I better find some time for packing and get ready for a weekend of heavy lifting.

Tell me if it changes the relationship in any way at all. I'd be interested to see how that goes for you...

Well we've been together for 2 years, and been living together in a sharehouse with friends for the last 6 months. So it's not that big a change. More relieved to have found a place seeing there is a rental shortage in Melbourne at the moment. Worst in 25 years. So mainly I'm glad I don't have to move back home to my parents, plus now I'm living with my girlfriend exclusively.

But if anything does change, I'm sure I will mention it in the letting off steam thread

So on Tuesday we got most of my school to boycott the cafeteria cause the prices are too high and most of the food sucks (we had a facebook group to organize it). It went really, really well and we got results already. Anytime anyone went in to buy something, they got booed by the rest of us. We had the principals and VPs and the lunch ladies all worried. Some kid even ran up and slammed the door closed ... I think he got suspended for that. Anway, it was totally awesome, and to make it better today whoever's in charge of the company that runs the cafe came to our school (background here; there's a company that owns all the school cafeterias in Ontario and Alberta as well as other cafeterias in public places ... the guy in charge of all of them came to our school 2 days after the boycott) and agreed to talk with us. The principal's going to form a committee of students to work with the company to come up with better food in the cafe. Unfortunately they can't lower the prices because they're set for the whole school board, but they can change the food. Man I feel good right now. :)

I can't believe I wrote 'totally awesome'.

I hope you brought lots of granola bars to school that day. I would have starved to death.

yep, we've got the worst rental shortage here in Brisbane since I can remember....all the people moving from NSW, doesn't help & population boom....it doesn't bother me, as I've bought a place myself (in part to get out of the rental merry-go-round)....

it's getting so bad up here, that people offer more money than the real estate agent is getting just to secure....some offers up to $30 more per week, & this is on top of high rental prices already....others have 40-50 people showing up to look at one 2 bedroom unit....it's crazy....

and Nick, a move in with a girlfriend has a period of adjustment, but I know for me, it was hardly noticeable, & considering she was staying over at my old place 4-5 nights a week, it's almost like we were living together anyways....main thing to do is have chores set early....if you pull your weight, you're fine....if one person cooks, the other person washes up, stuff like that, & alternate who cooks each night....also bill splitting is important....and keeping your own life, like I continue to go out & play bball & some other things independent to her, & she has her things....all good though, positives outweigh negatives for the most part....

hopefully I will be posting in this thread in the near future. I'm going after this hot asian chick in my art class. I think she likes me too cuz she gets all flirty with me but it could be just because she's a talkative girl. ehh who knows.

I'll be making a move in the next week or so, so I hope I will be posting better good news later.

Hopefully she doesn't read this forum and know it's you who's posting, otherwise she won't be surprised when you ask. :)

Goodluck!

I finally managed to get my mum to believe my constant complaining about blurred vision and take me to an optometrist. Turns out I'm short sighted. I got contacts and seriously, it's amazing being able to see in such detail. I'm still getting used to them, but I find myself constantly looking at writing, etc far away just because I don't ever remember being able to see so well. It's a huge relief when I stick these things in, and apparently I'm only a "1", which means my short sightedness is mild. I feel sorry for people with like 5 or 6 because the differnence between my vision with my contacts in to when they are out is amazing.

I'm finding them hard to get used to though, its tough to focus on things close up.

Sorry if my post made no sense, but I'm real tired and am sorta typing away with no reason. I can't be bothered reading over it.

im a -6 diopters in both eyes so anything further than a foot from my face is blurred. :(

contacts really help (Y)

My moustache is growing well. If I grow my hair longer and shaved my soul patch, I'm on my way to getting that Adam Morrison look.

If I keep the soul patch and let it grow along with the moustache, it'll be similar to what Trent Reznor once had.

Sweet either way.
