Kane and Khali was involved in a Singapore Cane Match, so I think it was an exemption. about Christian, not sure. expect that questions to be in Botchamania 98

Yeah, I thought the ECW Title match was supposed to be Submission as well. :/

About the "Screwjob" finale, I think that's just pathetic. I know that they will bring it as if Teddy told the ref to ring the bell, but the original Montreal Screwjob was not about a GM or ref being heel, it was to get the title off Bret Hart, and in my opinion it's just wrong revive one of the most notorious incidents in pro-wrestling history.

Wait for "You screwed Taker!" chants for Long.

Oh and, yay, Cena! :|

Randy has gotten stale as well, though. They need someone new in the RAW ME scene. Luckily Batista returns.

I guess putting that in the end of the forum rules thread isn't a bad idea to show the newbies the importance of following the rules.

Now all this forum needs is an emoticon of that.

yea, but overall I gotta say I kinda enjoyed the show last night

looks like the chavo hornswaggle crap is over with, good matches and a lack of interference in that last match of the night was nice.

the only 2 dumb things was the "we lost transmission" cause one cameraman got taken down and trish being a brunette

Good thing for Chavito. He deserves a serious match. No more nonsense match and mascot costumes.

RAW should draft Khali and pair him with Hornswoggle.

what do you guys think of Mark Henry getting a push? he's been undefeated ever since jumping to Raw and he beat (BEAT!) Randy Orton in his debut. you gotta love him!

if this was supposed to be a submission only PPV, why did Kane and Christian get wins via pinfall?

In the end, only the main event matches had the submission stipulation. Kind of defeats the purpose of a gimmick PPV, but then it looks they're going to overdo it with Hell in a Cell.

Looks like they're going to do Punk vs Taker vs Batista. I'm not that thrilled about Batista's inclusion.

And Jeff Hardy looks to be in a lot of a trouble.

Same here Andrew

l really dont want Batista to be included in the match.

The creative team should made a feud between him and Kane,and/or wait for Rey's return and feud with Jericho and Show.

I don't have to do anything. But having the world's strongest man on your roster and if healthy not using him, devalues your whatever you are trying to do.

Not a bad idea at all. It would certainly continue to raise the profile of the tag division. About time they had one set of tag belts now that they're unified though.

For what it's worth, Linda McMahon has stepped down as CEO (Vince now has that position in addition to being the Chairman of WWE) to run for the Senate. I wonder whether her involvement in the world of professional wrestling as an executive will be an asset or a burden.

Meanwhile, Jeff Hardy's Twitter page and MySpace have been removed. He continues to proclaim his innocence and I frankly I'd like to think that there has been some misunderstanding and it will get sorted without jail time, but the charges against him are very serious to say the least.

Another monster push for Batista begins.

The Undertaker/Teddy Long stuff on Smackdown was just...yeah. It's not that I don't like the creepy and morbid aspects of Taker's character even when they get a little cartoonish but the whole limo scene was just too silly. Between the camera angles, the lights, the smoke and unexplained distortion of Long's voice, it came off like a really, really bad B-grade horror movie. Too corny and silly, even for professional wrestling. Saw it coming too, they did a similar thing with Taker during the Ministry of Darkness angle at Backlash in 1999.

If the skit had ended with that line and the limo driving off, that would've been fine...even if we all saw it coming. Maybe it was their intention to ham it up and make it cheesy like that, but more likely they simply thought the PG 13 audience would find it really cool.
