If I was the wwe, I'd run an injury angle with Mysterio. Have either Knox or Ziggler break his arm, leg, neck, whatever, so the belt would have to be vacated and can be fought over some more. Instead of simply putting it on the first available guy.

Hey Jettheking. Can you name an album of every one of your top ten sig list?

Re: WWE Thread

Mon Aug 31, 2009 7:17 pm

That'd work too, it might continue to build the prestige of the title as a midcard belt again, make it look like means something in the storylines. Putting it on someone like Rey helps of course but if he's not there to put someone over then a tournament would be a nice idea as well.

Re: WWE Thread

You could go any route from that point.
Show a backstage segment of Knox and Ziggler getting into an arguement over who is more deserving to be the champ with Mysterio out of the picture and have Truth walk by and join in the arguement, have it turn into a brawl and there you go. Character development and a logical setup for a three way brawl, tournament or anything.
Have a match between Morrison and ZIggler with Maria watching while all of a sudden Knox comes by and slaps the shit out of Maria making ziggler lose focus and the match. Morrison becomes champ and fights with Hardy, while Ziggler and Knox fight over the honor of Maria. Maria could wear some slutty outfit. Knox would call her a slutty ho, enraging Ziggler even more. Now the crowd is confused. Ziggler seems like a dick, but he is fighting so hard for his girl. Do they hate him or love him?
And 30 days later, Rey comes back for the belt he never lost and it's a big steaming pot of entertaining wrestling.

Maybe having Rey injured by some masked nobody, due to people recognising the bodytype, could add even more controversy. Was that Ziggler who did that to Rey? people would say. And no one could be sure. Then you could have Josh interview Ziggler asking if he had any involvement in the unfortunate incident and with a big grin, he would deny he had anything to do with it, making it even better.

I could definitely see that happening. Especially now that it's emerged that Rey had a prescription for the banned substance (the loophole in the Wellness Policy) but could not produce it in time, so the suspension might not hurt his standing too much and he'll be right back in the thick of the IC title picture.

I don't buy that excuse at all, neither do the WWE it seems.

Rey's been one of the guys that people point out to prove that even the smaller wrestlers juice. As evidenced by the increase in his body mass.

He's even 'wider' than CM Punk.

- A NEW WWE Championship Title Belt is currently being designed and worked on to replace the current "spinning belt" which was introduced by John Cena on April 11, 2005.

:o :o :o :o :o

Okay, this should be good news, right? Why do I have a bad feeling about this? As far as I know, replicas of the Spinner Belt sell like cupcakes and with the PG approach I can't really imagine that they're going back to a 'normal' belt design.

So what's next? Glowing in the dark?

Glow in the dark belt. I could actually see this happening. lol.
Hate the spinner belt.

I know what you mean. It's what we've been wanting, but you kind of dread what they might do next. Still, a new design that's more traditional should still sell well. I'm sure collectors would appreciate it and the younger fans will bug their parents to buy the latest merchandise.

A belt that has an LCD screen saying "WWE CHAMP" and a spinning center PLATE.

On top of being glow-in-the-dark, as first suggested.

...or have the straps made of bling and all that glitters. Oh the glamor of the title.

I was wondering if you could. Didn't think you actually would. I would have been happy with a yes I can. This is cool too. I also didn't recognise who numbers 7 and 6 were. Now I don't have to wonder anymore so thanks. For me the greatest mc would have been Rakim. He was so ahead of his time it's rediculous. And my fav is Biggie.

Re: WWE Thread

yeah. i kinda agree with this list (Jay-Z should be somewhere lower than his position... he shouldn't be there just that he claims that he is the "King of Rap"). plus, LL Cool J should not be in the list. my opinions.

oh yeah, let's stop this discussion.. i just remembered this is "WWE Thread"

Can't imagine Rey as a heel though.

What hints at a Mysterio heel turn?

Re: WWE Thread

Thu Sep 03, 2009 10:28 am

Nothing right now really. Just thought that after the suspension and if Morrisson is still champ (as face), what could make Mysterio go back to the Intercontinental Championship picture again.

Re: WWE Thread

Fri Sep 04, 2009 12:30 am

I think Ziggler might've been ready but it was a good decision to put the belt on Morrison all the same. It would be kind of a waste if they have him be a transitional champion and put the belt on Ziggler at Breaking Point, if they do that they might as well have had Ziggler go over Rey on TV and enter the PPV as champ. It remains to be seen how they'll handle it though.
