post a pic of yourself! (if done before sorry)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

It seems like a very serious post, but knowing Cyriel, and seeing that smiley at the end I have a sarcastic feeling about it.

I wasn't being serious there, hence the smiley. I didn't come out of retirement to make that post, I dropped by to see if the new Hawks jerseys were made and decided to check the general section too.

And how exactly did you find out about the Hawks jersey when you came here? A thread I made, really?

I rest my case.

That makes it even cooler. Then it actually represents something from the past. That is the symbol of the one thing in my life that stayed constant from the time I was 3 up untill now. I changed my interests all the time about everything except for my sports teams, and the Pacers were always slightly more important then the Colts and White Sox because they came first.

Not to mention, how do you think the people at WNDE 1260 Indianapolis Sports Radio will react to a guy that has letters of reccomendation from Mark Boyle (15 year Pacer Radio Play by Play) and Slick Leonard (Pacer coaching legend, 22 year Pacer Radio color commentator)? Through in that Pacers tattoo, the obvious passion, a degree in radio from Columbia College, I'm a shoo-in to host the post game show after Kevin Lee is gone.

Wow, nice Tat Indy. What was the cost of it?

Went to the Red Sox vs. Devil Rays game on the 4th of July. It was my first MLB game, which was pretty exciting. I actually fell asleep during intermission after the end of the first inning cause I didn't sleep the night before cause I was excited about the game. Went to sleep with the game tied at 1-1, and woke up in the fourth with the Sox up 4-1. They ended up winning 7-5.

Here are some pictures:

Image
For some reason we got off at Copley Square and got lost trying to get to Fenway, ended up walking around
Northeastern in a big square before finally headed in the right direction.

Image
Standing in the outfield bleachers, the feeling when you step into a stadium is amazing.

Image
We were probably the furthest away from the plate, last row in the upper bleachers, behind the scoreboard, it was really, really windy.

Calling you a die hard fan would be an understatement to say the least. I hope you get that job.

Did you enjoy the game, Jing? My luck is about 50-50 when it comes to enjoying the games. One of the last Dodger games I went to was a couple years ago when Steve Finley hit a walk off grand slam to clinch the NL West, but the last one I went to was annoying because there were a bunch of kids acting like it was recess at their school. I made a mental note to buy better seats next time.

I definately enjoyed it, the parts that I stayed awake anyways. Like I was awake to see Mike Lowell's home run over the Monster and then we stood for like the last 2 or 3 innings becasue the seats were a bit cramped, and we were pretty cold cause it was extremely windy and everyone was just in T-shirts. As for annoying people, there definately were. The 40/50 year old couple in front of me (I actually fell asleep on the wife) were making out the entire time, while some dude couple rows in front was screaming at the top of his lungs the entire game, random chants, songs, you name it. He probably hit the beer stand like 10 times during the game.

I am definately gonna try to get like first base line seats next time, or seats on the Monster. It will be a lot more costly than the $12 bucks for these seats, but it should be much more worth it.

Nice pics. I've been to a half dozen Blue Jays games, I bet they have a much better atmosphere at Fenway due to more people (and better team).

Does this mean you go to Canada a lot or something? Cause I always though you were in Finland or something from your location.

Wrigley Field and Fenway are 2 of my least favorite sports areanas in all of sports.

Both are old, breaking down and smell terrible. Just because they have been aroung for a million years doesn't make it a great experience.

Every time I go to Wrigley Field, a little bit of diarrhea escapes in to my pants.

Baseball is the most intricate sport in the world. All the mind games and strategy that goes in to it is amazing.

I know what your problem is. You went to the Royals games.

LOL. That's probably it. I think the last game I went to was during Johnny Damon and Jermaine Dye years, but they were both injured or something. And it was against the Rockies or some other horrid team at the time.
