Exactly right. She seems the least enhanced of the Divas and isn't worryingly skinny. That's not to say everyone else is unappealing, but Mickie still tops my list.

That's what I'm talking about with the secondary titles. They're basically just props, which I suppose is what they are at the end of the day but in context they're supposed to have more meaning. As you said, the US belt in particular seems very useless these days.

I do like how they turned ecw into ovw on tv though. Made it easier for some people to get a chance.

Kozlov should start saying "I love double double e" again.

Re: WWE Thread

Me too, only the name seems out of place because it's hardly extreme and fans still want to link it back to the original ECW. Still, having a glorified developmental brand is a good way of getting new wrestlers some exposure and credibility before moving them to RAW or Smackdown when they're ready.

Yeah, worked great for Swagger and Airbourne.

About the current wrestling style in the wee. I think it needs to move away from striking a bit more. It's wrestling. I want more SLAMS!!!

They got it all degraded right now, that's why after Extreme Rules, I never watched WWE shows thus far.

As far as the moves right now, I think they're trying to say that strikes are deadlier than slams. :| When in fact, strikes are done much easier than slams and can very much attribute to kid violence. The WWE needs "attitude adjustment." /sarcasm

Speaking of the PPV name change, Cyber Sunday will be known as Bragging Rights.

Re: WWE Thread

Fri Jul 17, 2009 4:50 am

which sounds fuckin ridculous IMO.

Re: WWE Thread

I'll co-sign that. I do like the idea of having the twin elimination chamber matches at February's No Way Out though, it definitely suits the name and the name itself is pretty good for an event, especially if they continue to run with that gimmick.

Re: WWE Thread

Fri Jul 17, 2009 11:54 pm

Why in hell was it named Bragging Rights? :wall:

The PPV change to Cyber Sunday was already crap. Taboo Tuesday is still the coolest name for that style of a PPV.

Re: WWE Thread

Sat Jul 18, 2009 1:05 am

I liked the name Taboo Tuesday too, but they probably found it's better to keep their PPVs on a Sunday and obviously that name is no longer appropriate. Cyber Sunday isn't great, but it's a bit better than Bragging Rights.

Re: WWE Thread

Read somewhere that before that name (sounds like Bragging Rights is an idea of Michael Cole), the October 25 event was named Annihilation. Whatever they want to put up here, like a PPV which theme is to brag around after winning a match? :|

EDIT: No Mercy may have its name changed to Hell in a Cell. :wall:

Any opinion guys..

Edge turning face come WM26.

Re: WWE Thread

Sat Jul 18, 2009 3:33 am

It would fresh up his character. His injury was reported as quite serious. Hope he doesn't have to rehab for a year.

No Mercy was a great name for a ppv.

No Mercy may have its name changed to Hell in a Cell. :wall:

This is even worse. Not only is No Mercy a pretty cool name but Hell in a Cell?? It seems like every match on the card will be a HIAC match, which is a dumb decision in my opinon. A HIAC match should be something special and there should only be two or three over a year. A whole PPV in a Cell takes away from the match type.

Re: WWE Thread

Sat Jul 18, 2009 10:57 am

Agreed, it's overuse of the gimmick and since they're going the PG route, HIAC matches aren't as exciting as they used to be anyway.

Edge as a face would be fresh and I think it's inevitable that he'll get a face pop upon his return, but he does play a very good heel.

Regarding Edge turning face. I just read it here.

I think this article is a good read.

Re: WWE Thread

Jericho vs Edge at Mania 26, Edge being face. Quote me in 10 months.

I will buzzy, I will. Image

Re: WWE Thread

Sat Jul 18, 2009 2:38 pm

I don't have any trouble believing Edge will return as a face, even if it's a brief run before he gets back to his fully fledged heel character. I just think he's better at playing the latter.

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Jul 19, 2009 12:56 am

Agreed. The last time I saw Edge as a face is with the Evolution storyline in 2004.

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Jul 19, 2009 12:59 am

Turning heel the following year is what propelled him to the main event. He just seems a natural heel on camera.

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Jul 19, 2009 1:06 am

It suits him. Though honestly I care less right now with 'Taker and HBK out of the shows.

Re: WWE Thread

After watching the Jeff Hardy, Punk talking part last night, am I the only one that thinks Jeff sucks on the mic?

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Jul 19, 2009 1:12 am

I doubt it, I don't think you'll get much argument that as good as he is in the ring he's not much of a talker.

Re: WWE Thread

Sun Jul 19, 2009 1:31 am

Jeff really sounds bad when cutting promos. I don't know if it's on the choice of words, or it's really how his voice sounds like.
