Here's whats stupid about the whole thing:

Region coding is a (ineffective) tool to reduce piracy. But MLB 2K7 isnt even released in PAL, so it's impossible for them to even get sales from those regions, so how is it preventing piracy for them?

I don't know, stupid logic....and even if the game was pirated, which I doubt for a little while, they will still increase their total sales and bottom line....no wonder why the company is likely going to be bought out sometime in the future....

Exactly. I think most people pirate games they wouldn't buy, and to exclude entire regions of potential customers is just retarted.

But I doubt I'd get this game even if it was available. I'm not a fan of steroids uh I mean baseball.

neither would I, I don't like baseball either, but have a couple of mates with 360's that were really looking forward to the game....myself, I just wanted college hoops & football....one day that might come to their senses, in the meantime, I'll just play the pro franchises

I'm thinkin about getting a Xbox 360. Here are a couple of questions:

1. First of all: It it worth the money?

2. Do i have to own a television with high resolution? Or can I also enjoy the 360 with an older TV?

(3. Do you recommend NBA Live 07 for the 360? I got it for the PS2.)

(4. What about NBA Street Homecourt. Is it good?)

Thanks :)

yes I think so

you can enjoy it on the regular TV, when you make the jump to HD or plug it into a computer monitor you will be amazed even more.

I would not recommend Live 07, get 2k7 over it. There are demos on the Xbox Live Marketplace so I would recommend playing demos before you get a game.

Homecourt is the best EA basketball game for Next Gen. Its not as deep as the PS2 versions, nor as customizable, but its a hell of a lotta fun.
Opinions are my own.

Thanks Jao! I'm glad to hear that. Can you tell me if it is difficult to plug it into my computer monitor (or how it works)?

Thank you

http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=802129

but your going to want to get a KVM switch so your computer and 360 can share the same monitor

usually you can get them cheap off ebay

I've been thinking of grabbing those too - can the audio cables go in your sound card or no?

the audio out on that is just a red white audio cord so all you'd need is something like this
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... age=search

Radioshack does have them cheaper than that, pretty much you want an adapted to go from those 2 plugs to a headphone jack.

Jao, do you recommend the core version or that pro version?
I tend towards the core version since I'm only going to use the XBox for games. That's why i probably won't need a hard disk.. What do you think? :?:

with the Hard drive your going to get better loadtimes and for the most part smoother gameplay. I'd go with the pro, or get the core and get the hard drive for it.

I got the full one already... the graphics are damn good.. better than forza...
then gameplay is quite good, but sometimes you feel that the car isn´t attached to the ground... but i would definitively recommend it..

I played the dirt demo, aswell as the Forza demo and i didnt like either. I know they are simulation racers, but i have a hard time staying on the track. I always seem to be slipping and sliding as if i was racing on ice.

DiRT is not simulation, at least not compared to Forza. I mean I just had a race with my WRX, I slammed into a tree going ~100 (BTW the damage, almost as satisfying as Burnout or Flatout) and drove away, and actually won the rally challenge.

Well I finally bought one. Got the premium package "like new" with wireless controller for $288~ shipped. I'll probably have to give up me netflix subscription if I want to play online.

If you have a Xbox 360 Premium with 20 GBs can you get the Live 08 demo? How big is it?

It's not out yet. It will probably be in the neighborhood of 1 gb or less.

I downoaded the Live 06 demo for kicks. It plays like a mixture of 05 and 06 with better graphics. Now, does anyone know how I can take a look at the demo's files on the Xbox360 HDD?
