won $260 at a casino last night. will probably pick up this game. i'll try to preorder it to get the free stuff

a bunch of stupid COD YouTubers got the game early for videos/early promotion. Looks loads-of-fun, but the comment that single player 100% completion can be done in 8-10 hours made me sad.

preordering from gamestop i get early access to the porsche 911 carrera & Maserati GranTurismo

first things first, there is a issue with FPS with the PC (and console). I either have to turn AO, VFX, and Reflections (remove watery roads) to medium for a consistent 50-60 fps....or all max and 720p. It is definitely not consistent either, and there are no in-game MSAA settings. note that my "bad" fps will drop no lower than 35.

but shit yes this game is fun. fun, fun, fun, pure fun. Some cars' handling requires some adjusting to, but it is a pure ADD factory. Oo a billboard, Oo a new car, Oo a race, Oo a cop to piss off. The chases are fun, the racing is fun....

..and online, oooo, online. Just played with randoms and it was still hilarious amazingness. Shit goes to hell if you get someone lagging out, but overall, very well done just like Burnout Paradise was.

and the one thing I missed from Paradise and Hot Pursuit that this game has, a reckless sense of speed. The feeling of not if you crash but when is back and it is nerve racking.




so yea, I'm loving it. hopefully a patch or driver upgrade will take care of the fps issue.

a half hour from midnight right now but i must restrain myself from going to the midnight release because i have work early in the morning

my performance issues are shared with most right now, but again, hopefully there will be a driver/patch to help fix it. For now there is FXAA and such for AA, and a hidden "lock to 30 fps" option in the config.....

or you can scale graphics, and still have a pretty game (max/min options)

yep, locking to 30fps is what needs to be done. I hate to say it since I am a 60fps whore, but right now it is needed.

online was way more fun than i anticipated. love the variety of games you play, plus knocking people out for fun is... well... fun.

looks like the IDs are cross-platform as Jao's #7 on my most Wanted List.

I'm trying VERY hard to not cheat to find cars in the city. started with the porsche, found the lancer, and i had to look up how to get the impreza

once I unlocked the shelby I was a happy man (because the wife was happy)

for online I've upgraded the Ford GT to the point of not wanting to even try to upgrade other cars....but that is awesome that it is cross platform like that. I'll have to check to see if you show up on mine.

Rented the game and started up the single player. I've only beaten #10 so far though. It's pretty fun but it's already locked up on me twice. I don't really like how you're given both fast and slow cars right off the bat, but ultimately the game design is interesting.

Game looks like it'll be pretty challenging if/when I get past the freezing issues. Same thing kept me from beating the original Most Wanted.

the different cars do seem be different enough though to allow them all to be unlocked. Friggin exotics man, if I even touch off-road they spin out on me, yet the slower cars are better for alleys and tight turns in pursuits. Pretty balanced with different experiences IMO.

I was a bit weary that you could get any car you just drive up to, but there's enough balance in the game like Jao said to keep it interesting. i honestly forget how they did it for Most Wanted on PS2. i remember having a "garage" with certain levels of heat on each car which was cool because you had to manage your cars to make sure you don't get recognized by the cops

Almost picked this up yesterday but JB Hi-Fi was selling the PC version for $79, Xbox 360 for $89. Might shop around a bit online or wait for it to come down a bit.

Par for the course with video games in Australia. Looks like ozgameshop.com has the limited edition for $52, which is a much more appealing price. Picked up NBA 2K13 and WWE '13 from there, there's a week's wait because the games are sourced from the UK but the prices are great (can't beat free international postage, either). Might have to hit them up again for this one.

Halfway through the SP, and this game is pretty fun. I've mostly used the Impreza Cosworth and Nissan GTR and they've served me very well, but now I need something faster to keep earning points.

I'm sure I need an online pass to go online, but I do like dominating Qballer on the Speedwall.

Also, I think it's kind of funny that there are two games called Need For Speed: Most Wanted for Xbox 360.

i've pretty much maxed out the Porsche carrera & Subaru Impreza already. working on the Lexus LFA. is the GT-R a most wanted car or can you find it on the street?

yeah i don't get notices or challenges or your billboards, only lamrock shows up on there. in the pause screen it just shows your total SP and where it ranks against the regular most wanted list. and i can see your single player progress and compare it to mine.

IIRC the gtr egoist was selectable via easydrive from the start but it could have been a lucky jackspot find. Great all around car. Used it on most of the most wanted races so far.

Did any of you guys get the DLC's? One or all four? Game finished too fast.

I have the Movie Legends, Velocity, and Heros back as a part of the Deluxe bundle. Got so mad after realizing the ultimate speed pack wasn't included after I got it I've barely played since....especially since these fuckin' cars show up all over the game but with the shop icon thing. Fuckin hate that

I'm thinking of getting the complete bundle, but at 29 euro's I'm wondering if it's worth it. Google-fu time.
