As for what I read though, the actions that were made in Mass Effect will have an effect in Mass Effect 2, so long as the save game from Mass Effect will be carried over. So in my case, Kaidan should be dead by ME2.Keep it up

Hi spambot person. Welcome to the NLSC. How much do you get paid to do what you're doing?

Launch trailer up good sirs:

In the character creation phase I believe.

"Which character would you like to be dead? Ashley or Kaidan?"

I hope that all armors would have that N7 patch. Upon reading at Wikipedia that there are now like 19 in-game weapons, I'm all hyped for it. Plus Yvonne Strahovski.

I just hope they made the various planets and side quests a little more interesting this time around. You could spend around 40 hours on the first one, but a lot of it was driving the fucking Mako on planets with almost nothing to do.
But yeah, the improvements with more weapons, more cover types, and a reload-type of system (instead of the annoying overheating) sound like lots of fun. That, and getting to bang that chick.

The games size is big 14gb

ill just wait then for the game to arrive here in (philippines)datablitz so that i can buy it

Well it will probably come in two DVD's just like Dragon Age. I suggest you play the first Mass Effect (if you still haven't) because it's just fucking awesome.

Well,
that's a 9.6 for IGN.

This sequel is a much, much cleaner experience. Long elevator rides and slow-loading textures are gone, replaced with (occasionally lengthy) loading screens. Generic cut-and-paste side quests and empty planets to explore have been totally ripped out. Pretty much everything that anybody took even the slightest issue with in Mass Effect 1 has been axed or rebuilt entirely..
Of course, none of this would matter if it isn't fun to play. Good news. Mass Effect 2 is a lot of fun. The action has been refined to the point that even general fans of shooters will find a lot to like here.
An emphasis has clearly been put on ensuring that the combat in Mass Effect 2 never grows stale. Side quests each have their own unique areas to explore -- and you'll have to explore the galactic map, talk to random characters, and find key items to even trigger many of them. The combat zones themselves, however, have been cleaned up to be more straightforward and compelling, rather than repetitive labyrinths.

They score on a 7-10 scale though, and the Xbox Magazine guy said the first game was his favorite game ever, so that's not very impressive. Plus IGN's opinions are perennially horrible

I'm not saying IGN is the fucking bible, but it's still not everyday that they go beyond 9.5/10, and since the review clearly shows how most of the previous game's weaknesses have been addressed, that seems to justify the score to me.

Its almost every day...

Well I would read IGN's review more than those from Gamespot.
That's what I've read though, story-wise, ME1>ME2.

It seems like it, yes. Gameplay seems superior in ME2, but I'm guessing there will be less story-related jaw-dropping moments...

Rented ME1 and kinda liked it, but got stuck on a driving mission. Should I give it another go?

The Mako sucks for everything it's made of. What I've read is that they got the Mako out of ME2 and replaced it with a new vehicle.

I would, the story is really worth it.

Oh yeah baby, installing this thing right now

Cool, I'll be flooding this thread like I did with Dragon Age. Miranda Lawson =
Sat Jan 30, 2010 1:00 am

indeed. I didn't know it's the blonde chick from
Chuck who voices her. She does look like her once you imagine Miranda as a blonde. There's also Martin Sheen, and Adam Baldwin (from
Chuck also). And Carrie-Ann Moss of course.
I didn't play much for now, just the first 10-15 minutes. Keeping all its promises for now, it's like being able to intervene in the middle of a captivating space opera movie...Runs very well on my rig, I'm just looking for the .ini file for the key mapping, since a couple of keys cannot be assigned in-game like in ME1.
But looking good so far

Seems like the game engine does not have anti-alias and we have to force AA it using the graphics card. Too bad my card's driver does not get installed properly in 7. I still don't get it.
I still have my save game from ME1.

It's been one of the main issues with the UE3 since the beginning.
I still have my save game from ME1.
I did not, and it looks like they made some decisions in this case,
in the introduction, Ashley is still in the Normandy...

Was having a blast with this till the bug hit. Hope it won't happen everytime I load up my save game.
Sat Jan 30, 2010 9:19 am
Too bad they set everything back to zero, as in my only playthrough I had Shepard at level 42.
Sat Jan 30, 2010 3:02 pm
My brother's getting ME2 tomorrow but I'm still with ME1, so I gotta finish it quickly...
