Watched The Illusionist with Edward Norton and Jessica Biel. Was drawn to the movie from start to end. A little slow and dry at some parts, but I really enjoyed the performance and setting, not to mention the surprise ending. A movie worth watching.

I guess I overlook his acting abilities because he seems like an asshole in real life.

Watched Poolhall Junkies on DVD today.

The movie is kinda old, well not that old. Made in 2002 to be exact. Great billiard/8ball/9ball movie. Almost all of the trick shots have been done by the actors themselves, so thats an added bonus. (Y)

If you love to play pool in real life like I do, then you will enjoy this movie.

Secondly, both of those movies are borderline unwatchable. The Illusionist was so incredibly boring, poorly written and terribly done in every way. The pacing of the film was an amazing pile of shit. Yes, let's spend an hour and a half with meaningless meandering, then rip through the entire plot in five minutes. Would have worked better if two of the main characters were played by people who could act. Paul Giamatti can only do so much.

Sci-Fi Channel is currently showing Decoys, a film that blows away both of these two. More like the Belt of O'Fryin indeed.

Gridiron gang was a great movie I saw it a few days ago as well. I also saw the breakup with jennifer aniston and vince vaughn. Pretty good movie actually had me tearing at oen point. Kind of movie to watch with your gf

Poolhall Junkies was a pretty good movie. I was pleasantly surprised.

and last night I stayed up late and watched Enter The Dragon. I love that movie, but the one thing that really irks me is the audio. It's like those Chinese soap operas how the actors mouths aren't moving but they're still talking sort of thing. They've done a really good job of minimalizing it, but you notice it sometimes, especially on the Bruce Lee fight scenes. Bruce Lee is my hero.

Ed's cool and all, but his "crying" scene in The Illusionist was exactly the same as American History X.

I don't think Paul Giamatti is good either, he was just the only one doing much of anything in that trashheap of a movie.

No, I do not think Edward Norton is a good actor at all. I take zero of his characters seriously, he's wooden and uninteresting. I haven't seen everything he's been in, and it's been a while for a few, but maybe it is because he's never been given a great movie. Maybe he and Biel realized The Illusionist was terribly written so they just showed up to collect the paycheck. When he's had an above average movie though, everyone else involved usually acts circles around him.

It is probably worth noting that it is unlikely people share movie taste with me. My list of 4+/5 movies and 1/5 movies would probably be considered weird.

Edward Norton was pretty good in American History X. That's about it. I enjoyed Red Dragon, but it was kinda crappy acting.

Watched Better Tomorrow, the first one. I've been craving to see John Woo's classics for a long time and seems like it's been worth it, the action scenes are the best ever.

I already explained how. By having a different opinion than you.

IMO He's great in everything he does.

And in my opinion, he's nothing special and, from what I have seen, has never really been in or done anything great.
