Kinda yes. Since I always had to play with older like 16,17 guys and they don't actually care if they hurt you or not. I got many twisted ankles, punches to the ribs and other things. I don't think I wanna go through that again ..so I rather play volleyball since I'm more comfortable with it .

i was thinking, and i could be way off here, but i thought legs were the most important part of volleyball, that and maybe your shoulders. so anyway i figured that you didnt injury your legs much and thats why volleyball was better for you

I would rather steal the game ball than be awarded a shite piece of loam.

The only trophy that mattered to me was the state championship our team won in 05 we put in so much hard work to win it and it payed off, i came 2nd in the mvp voting along with another guy from my team but thats prob the best ive done in this league, we've got such a hard league that its hard to accomplish anything, most of the players i play against are most likely going onto college ball so its a very tough league.

Social leagues ive won tonnes i remember one year we took our state team into a social league to gain extra practice it was really fun and we won the title quite comfortably. I'm starting to move away from state ball now though it dominates your life quite a lot and the coaches get annoying its like if we dont win they will die sorta thing.

I have this championship pennent (Grade 11), a MIP (Grade 8), a MVP (Grade 9) and a Coaches' Award (Grade 12). And 4 participation trophies from club. That's a trophy every year I've played bar the last two. And yeh, participation trophies are overrated, I didn't collect mine from this year.

5!
first one at 11 years old. little league. season champs. got ousted in 3rd round double elimination. grr. explain that to me.
second two at 12. little league. SEASON AND TOURNAMENT RUNNER UP! both times to the future cheating champion! cheatin champs because the guy who ran the team was the league director so he owned the officials. the were good though. maybe a little to good! grr...
next 2 at age 13. reagular season champs and won the championship! yay! almost went undefeated that year. lost the last regular season game to a deaf team from the virginia school for the deaf and blind! we played every team three times. early in the first quarter we were down 6 so the coach put me in since i was nailing threes from near half quart before the game, thats amazing in its self, well down 6 my teammate throws me an off balance pass and i am off balance while shooting a three and it swished! everyone was stunned because that was the first and only shot i had made that year! well we kept with them during the game but lost in the end, and then to add to the insult my teammate at the end of the game went and hit hiss fist against the wall! the officials called him for a technical foul! we had already lost by 5, i think, so a deaf kid made two more freethrows! well the next week we faced that team again for the championship. if we had won that last regular season game we would not have had to play them for the championship. well my team one the campionsship with home and in bed sick. :x :x :x
btw i only scored a total of 6 points my whole career! :(
at 11 i was between 5'1 and 5'2 and ~200 pounds!

I currently have 9 as team and 7 as mvp,6 as defensive player(all in our tournament ,remember the get to know you thread)I guess planing to get 10th this month.

Wed Oct 10, 2007 8:55 pm

Only 7 as MVP man? I think you should go outside right now and practice more to be the best you can be. Get more MVP trophies man.

Seriously, go outside, stop wasting your time on an internet forum.

(Edit: Wait...aren't you a little obese to be winning 7 MVP's? Someone gonna get a hurt.)

He dominates the low post.
He's a combo C-PF. Like Oliver "Pig" Miller or Robert "Tractor" Traylor.
It means he has the body of a C and PF combined.

Fri Oct 12, 2007 8:12 am

It also means he's too fat to move, let alone be most valuable. If it was a pie eating contest, I'd understand...

Fri Oct 12, 2007 8:53 am

Unless...converse, do you play in a league full of 3 year olds and the net is, like, 5 feet tall?

It makes sense, he gets all-defensive player for blocking almost every shot the kids take, and score on every possession by slamming the ball to the net.

Fri Oct 12, 2007 9:17 am

But...slamming the ball would require him running to the offensive end of the court.

Read that again. I wrote running.

Fri Oct 12, 2007 9:23 am

But the courts three year old plays would be really small, like almost a typical backyard. I bet the guy, however fat he is, can walk from end to end in about 23.9999 seconds.

Damn, I could see a lot of 14 year olds getting hurt

Sun Oct 14, 2007 4:08 pm

In our opponent, our scout said they have 2 14 yr olds.In our team, there is 1.

Sun Oct 14, 2007 4:51 pm

Our leauge composes of ages 14-21 yrs old.

So that means you are 14-21 years old then and I predict that there is 99.9% probability that you are not a chef.

Busted!

Sun Oct 14, 2007 5:02 pm

Dwyane, stop lying. Your a chef, you weigh a huge amount for a guy your size, you have a 14 year old on your team, you've won MVP for 7 years running, 6 consecutive defensive player of the year award winner and you have scouts working for your team.

Come on man. :shake:

Sun Oct 14, 2007 5:07 pm

Just a parttime chef.I'm not lying.I'll score many points tommorow.I'll prove that I'm a MVP.And a DP.

Sun Oct 14, 2007 5:08 pm

Wait! I found more.

He also said that there are 14-21 year olds. But he said he won 9 awards. Maximum is 8.

Busted! Again.
