Thanks for the shoutout, and you're an excellent mod to have around here! Glad to see you posting a lot more, and here's to another 1000! (y)

Actually, it doesn't.

People that are willing to put in effort were allowed to have their own thread. It's for folks that go, yay, got 1000 posts, shoutout to everyone, love you xXOXOOXXO.

This has effort, hence it should have it's own thread.

And I know you're kidding, other people might not pick up on that.

I've always included you in my shoutouts, it's just that you were never around enough back then to see them :P That being said, glad you're posting a lot more around here.

Thanks for the shoutout Ty, and using that Ron Burgundy pic, awesome. He "makes Frank Sinatra look like a hobo". 8-)

Question though, what is your avatar? Darts board? Japanese flag when Japan is conquered by the French?

It is the mod symbol from the 60's/70's music movement of the same name. Think of The Who!

I love mod music and it is/was an underhanded joke which I waiting to see if anybody was going to pick up on.

:? Here's a much belated congratulatory message of congratulations, Ty. :applaud:

And I told you to resort to one-word posts or one-smiley posts to boost your count. If we work together, we can get past Andrew's post count in two weeks. (Y)

Thanks for the shoutout. You inspired me to finish my thesis documents. :applaud:

Damn, we still have the traditional "I've reached XXX posts, so thank you all" threads! It's good to see that much hasn't changed around here. Congrats! (Y) I can't seem to place your screen name, though. Changed your handle, have you?

congrats Ty....my broadband was down when you posted this & I missed this thread, but congrats on the 1k....I figured you'd get there eventually....

cheers for comments about me....as for the 'old friend' comment, I figure the 'old mates' on the NLSC (current & former) who I could just head to the pub with & have a beer are:

You
Andrew
Nick
Cyanide
Jackal
Sauru
Donatello
Honor Glow
Mark
Indy
Flite
Dragon & Sit (since they both play on the Fighting Irish now & I've had a beer with both already)
& probably one or two others that I can't remember at present....

would probably be a big round table, everyone drinking out of pewter tankards with a few lcd's in the middle of the bale, maybe some 2k7/8, live 08 playing on one tv, some NBA & college on other ones, & some other random shit on another....just a random thought....

the people I mentioned just wasn't due to post count, it's more character....

while I don't mind a drunken game of darts, I couldn't imagine baseball being part of the equation, otherwise I wouldn't be in the pub....
