Batman Begins is probably the only "superhero" movie i liked....the rest just didn't cut it for me.

Daredevil had to be the worst.

It was a good movie, I did think it was about 45min longer than it had to be. A good movie IMO, but not absolutely fantastic.

I thoguht he was a bit of a letdown as Lex Luthor and think Michael Rosenbaum from Smallville makes a better Lex.

You'd need to be a BG Actor/Extra for that to happen.

Yohance Bailey wrote:I wouldn't go that far..but it's just as good as Spider-man 2 and X-men 2,3 in my opinion.

I really enjoyed it too, but I think Batman Begins and the 2 Spidermans are better. I'd rate them 5 out of 5 and SR 4 out of 5. Like Jae said, better story development.

Daredevil is crap.

Spacey was only filling the role of the old Gene Hackman/Lex Luther from the old movies. In that regards..the comedy fits well and he did a good job. However, Rosenbaum is definitly the best live action rendition of the chrome dome to date.

On the dot! Nothing was worse than The Hulk, it was basically a frikkin green king kong jumping around and smashing stuff. Not forgetting the myth of the growing pants.

As for Superman I haven't watched it yet but I plan on doing so, probably next weekend. I haven't been a big fan of any of the superhero movies yet, probably my favourite was the original Batman (was it Batman and The Joker or just Batman?), Spiderman was cool too cause they got a cast that fit and Toby Macguire was a perfect fit for Peter Parker. X-Men 3 was kinda odd specially the way the story pans out, didn't really like it but at least I got to see Rebecca Robjin-Stamos without that blue suit.

Superman was pretty good. I put it slightly above Batman Begins in terms of favourite super hero movies.

Favourite part other than the plane scene was the scene with the kid and the piano. Excellent. (y)

The part that was funny to me was how he always talks to Lois Lane in his superman getup as though she was just some chick "I'm going now Lois"....as if he didnt screw her.

The piano part was wierd... but funny. Then he just sits there in the room and doesnt help Lois get the door open as they drown. I think they may have problems with that child down the road, he's only like 4 or 5 and he's already a murderer.

He was anxious and all seeing that the guy was about to kill his mother so I bet he doesnt even understand his powers much.

I was also thinking about the murderer thing, that he gets a free pass ebcause he's a cute lil kid...with asthma.

I completely avoided this thread until I'd seen the movie because I knew there would be spoilers. It's common sense, if people are dumb enough to venture in then they probably deserve to have it spoilt.

Yeah, you don't go into a thread about the movie not expecting the movie to be discussed!

Spacey did a good job of portraying Luthor's crazy ruthlessness but overdid it on the crazy part, but as Thug said, he was fun to watch. Before seeing the movie I was expecting for Spacey to portray Luthor's calm demeanor (as excellently shown by Rosenbaum), ah well there's always a sequel to do better.

I do love Spacey's pimp white suit.

Everyone who has seen the movie, what did you guys think of Routh? Would you like him in future Superman flicks or anyone else in mind?

Routh is a pretty good Super-man I think. He's definitely got the look and he's pretty good at acting like a goof-ball when he's Clark Kent.

I don't think he's versatile enough to really play anything else. From interviews and whatever I've seen he seems a fair bit like Clark to begin with, so it doesn't seem like a massive deviation from his real life persona. I think he did a good job as Superman, I'd be happy to see him in any future movies.

This guy was basically born to play superman much like christopher reeves. He's like jamie foxx in 'Ray'.

I thought he was excellent as Clark Kent/Superman and really stole the show as far as acting performances, so I'd love for him to continue as Superman in the upcoming movies. He is Superman/Clark Kent in my eyes now. Like Yohance Bailey said. He was basically born to play Superman.

Jackal wrote:Not to highjack the thread, but would you folks have anyone else play Batman?

No no no. Christian Bale. He's what Routh is to Superman only to Batman. He was freakin awesome as Batman/Bruce Wayne in what is my favorite superhero movie so far- Batman Begins.

What's the need for emotions? Superman's a playa. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.
I liked Superman's cold treatment of Lois in the movie, I'm tired of Superman mostly being portrayed as an uber boyscout in the comics and previous movies/TV series.

Routh should used again for the role but he should bulk up a little bit. His body frame didn't look superhero-esque to me even with the costume, compared to Bale. I don't want to see another Superman looking like a male model that's anorexic like Dean Cain in that lame TV series.

Edward Norton comes to mind who can also portray Batman with the same intensity and approach as Bale did to the character. Norton could easily bulk up for the role like what he did in American History X.

11 bucks? And I thought that €6.50 was too much...
Anyways...I've "seen" (just because it's still not released here ) the movie, and I think it's awesome. I loved the scene where the new continent "comes up from the water" (-insert word here-) and the whole plane/boat scene. I think this movie pwns the Batman and Superman movies.

Ed Norton, while he has the emotion, I think is just not built right to play Batman. Even if he bulks up he's still short...

He would be very cool to see as Batman though. His acting, in the right roles, is really awesome and I think he'd add a certain sense of "darkness" to the role of Bruce Wayne. Christian Bale, while he did an awesome job, wasnt as "dark" as Norton could be without being too evil.
