Best game soundtracks

The Legend of Zelda theme and the Final Fantasy theme are probably 2 of the best video game songs ever composed.

I can't comment on Final Fantasy but I have to agree with the classic Zelda theme being amongst the best. Ocarina of Time had some good compositions as well.

Chrono Trigger has a nice soundtrack that you can stop playing the game and just listen to it.
Most memorable soundtrack for me is the one from Earthworm Jim, the snot-bungee jump stage, it has that trance/techno beat to it.
Tekken 3 and 5 also stands out, I would put the CD/DVD in a player (not the PS/2) to hear the soundtrack.

Brings back gaming memories.

well id go with Raw vs Smackdown 06 thats a good one lots of heavy music getting you into the game.. Madden of course they always have the cutz Avenge Sevenfold and Chamillionaire
, Nba live is getting smart get good Rappers in the game even they are fans of the game.. i like the busta rhymes and Qtip cut on 06.

Vice City has a damn hot soundtrack, I love it.

THPS 2 has also on of the best.
But sometimes it is not about tracks by known artists....

Commandos 2 and Deus Ex for example have such a good soundtrack, awesome!

Grim Fandango (not sure if anyone knows this game) and FF7. Those two clinch it for me. Grim has the best jazz music, with FF7 just best overall. Simply memorable.

FF7 had a classic soundtrack, Advent Children too... Square E-Nix throws out some good stuff in gaming and audio
