I support freedom and peace. It just so happens that in today's world you must have to war to make peace. I don't like war just for the sake of war. But if i feel the war is justified then I will support it.

I feel it the same way...the only thing I don't understand is why your country is "defending freedom and peace" in Iraq (and previously in Kuwait) and not in Togo, Somalia or Libia.
Sorry for the off-topic

Well I agree that there are other places in the world that need our attention. However, you can't be in 100 places at once (even though we technically are). But we do have troops in Somalia despite popular belief. We have quite a few troops scattered across Africa. It's nearly not enough but it's something. President Clinton really messed up when he pulled the special forces out of Somalia back in the 90s.

I feel bad that my family left him, but i must admit that when he first left I didn't really care but my mom got a new boyfriend so now I really miss my dad.

How old are you now? 51 isn't old... compared to my daddy :x Now go tell your daddy he's young.

Get off it, Riot. This thread has nothing to do with gay marriage... there's another one just for that. Keep your biogtry consolidated to one thread if you don't mind.

Riot I think they got pissed off not because they thought you were calling their parents gay, but because they thought that you assumed that they were having family problems solely because they had gay parents.

My dad's 51 too, and I'm 14, he's 15 from what I can read... I don't think that a 51-year-old man could be called old

Sat Jun 24, 2006 7:35 am

51 is old for a dad unless you're the youngest in the family and have older siblings.

I'm oldest, nearly (:proud:) 15 and my mother just turned 40 and dad is turning 41.

Which makes me 25 when they're 51.

For some reason I don't think that is why they were upset.

I have two older sisters (20 and 21 years old)...My mom's 44 and my dad's 51 but I don't think they're old because they don't act as old people.

I am 15, I have a 17 year old sister and a 25 year old sister and 2 9 year old twin brothers. My dad is kind of old if you look at him. He's looks like Marvin Harrison from the indianapolis colts. He's like 5' 8" 150 and bald.

I was going ok for a while, until you find out that your dad had been cheating on your mom for 4 months. I only found out this morning, now i really don't give a shit aboout him.

My mums pretty stressed about it but she doesn't show it in obvious ways which worries me. I don't really know what to think right now in terms of my family.

Well my parents split up when i was 17, but it was my mom cheating on my dad. It really fucking pissed me off and i beat the shit out of the guy, but once i look back at it my dad was never there for my mom. He was always going and riding his Harley and partying and shit. But now 7 yrs later they have both moved on and are happy with their lives and thats all you can ask. my brothers and me still have issues with it but if its not working then its not working so we deal with it.

Sat Jun 24, 2006 1:51 pm

I'm more close to my mom.
My mom yells at me when my sister and I argue, but my mom yells with my dad quite a bit.

Sat Jun 24, 2006 2:53 pm

I actually think Riot has a point, getting so insulted at the notion of someone you know being gay is quite contradictory. That being said, neither of my mum's are gay.

Joking joking, they're both raging lesbians

Ok joking again, I only have 1 mum, and she's heterosexual

Sat Jun 24, 2006 3:08 pm

That sucks for you peachy, and sorry to hear that...but now its like f that foo' lol

This same thing happen to me when i was like 7, my dad was like their but

and he wouldnt give me jack nothing, And he's dominican so yeah he's a
cheap low life cab driver LMAO! At first it was like i have no dad :( but

My parents generally get along but they have had their rough moments in the past. Most recently, my mom nearly left my dad because she suspected my father was having an affair with our neighbor. End result? We moved and our former neighbor still remains my mom's best friend. I personally don't think my dad was doing anything but he was a heavy drinker and probably said plenty of things that he didn't mean or maybe even want to say around my mom.

Mom did have a problem with my dad for a long time, she hated his drinking habits. Just last year he was an alcoholic and he actually ended up trying to kill himself via chugging down different sorts of meds. He kept driking for about seven months and now he's alcohol-free and has been for nearly five months - so have I, unfortunately, and I miss it.

There's been a few other times where I thought they were going to part ways but they managed to get through those bumps in the road and move on. I really don't see anything happening anytime soon, they've been a lot more happy recently than they have ever been it seems.
