What I'm most disgusted and pissed off by this news is this tidbit:

Obviously she's never heard of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Sure, it didn't mention her drinking while she was pregnant, but she's so fucking clueless what effects alcohol and cigarettes can do to a pregnant woman. To state that, "I don't find it affecting my pregnancy" is just the most immature comment I've heard in the last few days.

But thats expected from a 11 year old, you can't expect them to know the ins and outs of what smoking and alcohol can do to you. I doubt most of us really knew at that age, sure a majority of us would say heck I never wanna smoke or drink but if we did I'm sure we'd be clueless too.

She's a slut I agree but you have to realise that she's a 11 year old. What bugs me is that the age for motherhood is becoming less and less, it was the 16 year old saga abt 2-3 years back and now its 13 and now 11?. I'm not sure whats gonna happen in the future, 13 year olds wedding 10 year olds, breast implants at 10, oral sex at 6?. Its getting really outta hand and this isnt a media thing, girls these days are maturing or rather becoming sluts way too fast and the worst part is its sometimes really hard to recognise a girl as 13 or even 16, some of them look like an average 18 year old (facial features) yet are 13 and thats really fucked.

I tend to contradict myself and end up answering my own question, lousy habit and sign of ignorance but yeh I'd think that her mothers pretty crap/useless bitch to let her daughter be like that.

Pretty much every quote you can pull from the article is like that. I think the mother-to-be and her mother are under the impression the girl is really mature and grown up, but I beg to differ.

I hate to defend smoking while pregnant, because it's disgusting.... but it's not an entirely bad thing in this case- the only thing smoking does to a pregnancy is cause low birth weight, and she could probably use it, having an 11 year old body.

It doesn't just cause low birth weight, it can give the babies health problems such as asthma, I know. An 11 year old to become pregnant really is shocking, I mean what was she really thinking. In London nowadays you always see young people around 11/12 smoking and drinking but i never thought one would become pregnant and still smoke whilst she's heavily pregnant, sign that she really is stupid

I'm not sure but Ithink they can charge you with rape regardless of whether or not the girl accuses him of it. If shes underage I believe thats almost automatic. Not sure though, I'll check it out.

In Canada atleast, if you are under 14 (the age of consent) then the parents are able to charge for rape, even if s/he gives consent or even begging the older partner to fuck them. Not sure if they would win if she was begging to, but they could still make a case.

meh the age shes smoking at isnt immensely rare here in the UK, but being pregnant at that age obviously is. But even so i know of 3 people my age (17) or younger who are pregnant and one girl whos already given birth, albeit they all quit smoking. The one that gave birth was in my french class and i used to playfight with her all the time during her pregnancy, if she had told me about it like maybe i wouldnt have felt so guilty when i found out.
But yeah kids start young over here, i started smoking at 13 and i was a relative late bloomer, kids now are doing shit at 11/12 that i didnt do til i was 15/16 drugs and drink wise.

Oh yeah, everything in that story is illegal lol Law over here is that if one or both people are underage one can be charged with statuory (sp) rape, most cases get thrown out of court though.
