and i really dont know that the 500-post limit is any good. it just encourages spamming, and at any rate, most people will have that by six months anyway. the year registered rule is good though (and you can see this is not an effort to get myself one sooner, im in favour of the qualification i dont have)

That's going to happen with any post limit though. All kinds of things have been suggested to stop spamming (such as hiding post counts) but the fact of the matter is, people who want to do nothing but spam will do that regardless. That's why the year limit is there as well, so it's someone who's been around for a while as well as being actively involved (the 500 post limit).

I don't think anyone's going to join, spam their way to 500 and go "Phew, now I'll just wait a year". They'd only have to post like twice per day to easily get past the 500 limit within the year.

Is it possible for me to get a custom title? Given the fact that I've been around for a really, REALLY long time(look at my 'joined'-field and despair... ). I just don't like to write unless I really can contribute to the topic. But I've been reading here for years. And I've been pretty active in the past couple weeks, since I have a job with an internet connection now...

I don't see what's so "corrupt" about upholding the restrictions. I know I said we'll make exceptions but there has to be limits on that too. Otherwise there's no point in having the limits in the first place.
