And I thought 15,000 was a ridiculous amount!

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

i'll skip the bullcrap. Can I have 20 bucks? On Jackal, of course

EDIT: Good job though. Either you have no life or you actually care enough about this to keep active. I'm just going to assume it's the latter and say Congrats.

Looking at that strip again, it reminds me of Drew Carey.

I suppose I'd have to say...air gordon, since he's a Bulls fan. If you're not with us, you're against us. Seriously though, we'd all make a raft out of forum trolls and float to shore.

And LOL at the comic strip.

Thanks Jugs. :) I'd say it has helped me, running the site as a whole has helped with my customer service skills (and likewise, my experience in the workplace has benefited my work on the site). It also looks good on my resume and played a small role in getting the tech support gig.

EDIT. Thanks Colin, glad you liked my terrible artwork. (Y)

#1 Are you planning to expand NLSC in any way or shape?

#2 Did you ever get drunk and just want to go on a banning spree?

And although I congratulated just a couple of hours ago, I'll do it again. I really appreciate what you, Andrew, and other members of the NLSC community did with this forum and site in general. You made a e-world for us NBA&NBA Live freaks, a place where we can escape when we get tired of school, girlfriends and life in general, debate or constructivelly flame each other :). This is not an ass-kissing episode, but just a prove to you guys how much [doobie] I love you all [/doobie]. I'm gonna weep now.

Thanks VanK, much appreciated. I'm glad the NLSC can offer visitors what they're looking for and there's a fun time to be had here. :)

VanK wrote:#1 Are you planning to expand NLSC in any way or shape?

I'm always keen to add more content or improve what we've already got whenever possible. We always throw around the idea of having more NBA content on the main site but that section never comes to fruition. The farthest we've come so far is doing the feature articles.

VanK wrote:#2 Did you ever get drunk and just want to go on a banning spree?

I've been drunk and there's been times where I've been tempted to ban people, but the two are always completely independent of one another. ;)

Anyways Drew, good work on your milestone... you seem like a great guy... how do u manage to motivate urself to run this site? Its amazing how you find the time to when its nonprofit too. All i can say is 'wow'... and yeah, that first bit was a question.

Thanks for the shoutout... i dont think i deserve it haha, im a spammer so its all good!

Anyways a few more Q while im at it...

- Whos ur fave Simpsons character and why?
- U still play basketball by any chance?
- Would u meet anyone from the NLSC if u got the chance and who? And if u have before, who have u met?
- What do you see yourself doing career wise in 5 years time?

EDIT: I took too long to post Sam's mistake so yeh, ignore it!

Thanks Sit. (Y)

Sit wrote:how do u manage to motivate urself to run this site?

Mostly it's enthusiasm for the game and the sport of basketball. But it also helps me stick to a task (I'm a big procrastinator) and as I said before, it helps me with my customer service skills. It's a nice hobby to have, not the only one I have but I do enjoy it, so that's where I get my motivation.

Sit wrote:Whos ur fave Simpsons character and why?

These days I'd say Homer, simply because I find him to be the funniest character. But growing up, Bart was probably my favourite character because he was the mischievous brat I was too chicken to be. ;)

Sit wrote:U still play basketball by any chance?

Not anymore, unfortunately. Not competitively anyway.

Sit wrote:Would u meet anyone from the NLSC if u got the chance and who? And if u have before, who have u met?

I'm not huge on meeting people in the flesh that I've met online but I have to admit, it would be kinda cool. One of these days Matthew and I have to find out who's the better NBA Live player without lag. I have actually met one person who's posted here in the forum - Clinton - but he's my cousin, so that's a bit of a cheat.

Sit wrote:What do you see yourself doing career wise in 5 years time?

I'm really not sure at the moment. Hopefully still something in IT, with a bigger paycheque. ;)

Duuuuude, in case I forget it later on, congrats. Now onto the "later on".

So it didn't come in a week, took you like two weeks to get the 20000. Guess I lose on that bet. Nifty to see you do something this extravagant, you did mention it'd be different. It's a nice idea, it'll give people a better view into the "normal" Andrew I've learned to know over time opposed to the "mechanical" one. (Although even the mechanical one has started using Simpsons pictures. Oh noes, tis a mounster.)

Oops, rambling.

That tab isn't mine anymore, you shifted it all on OSF because he's such a fool, don't punish me all over again. Everytime there's a milestone, these fuckers take the opportunity to take out the beer emoticon. And as of late, we've got Nick back, all I'll say regarding that is...look at his sig. Amare must be dizzy with all the beer.

You said it but I'll confirm it, you've really progressed as an administrator. Before I really thought you were just a bot or something, now you're so much more human. Don't get me wrong, even during our whole she-bang conflict you were quite amicable and ready to talk things out & I was in my menstrual cycle so that was difficult, but you didn't let up.

Which reminds me, everyone at the NLSC, I'm (back) at the NLSC because of Andrew. I was banned & never to return (although I wanted to) and would've stayed away had it not been for Andrew letting me back. So basically, if you want someone to blame...blame him.

I'm glad to hear you made the decision of sticking around the NLSC for quite some time. To say I felt a certain bit of uneasiness is an understatement when I pictured the forums with someone else at the head of the forums. But I understand what you mean when you say you might just quit it all, been there, done that. I mean I've probably retired way more than MJ and still came back. Tis just that damn good around here.

I may complain and all (a lot) but for every 8 morons, there is a decent poster, that handful of posters makes users like me come back. And you know it better than anyone else, we do come back.

Basically...I'd like to thank you big time for running this forum, as you stressed in your post, we've got something special here, I've been to other forums and it just isn't the same. Keep it up as long as you possibly can.

Anyways, here are my questions:

  • What are your thoughts on the issue of "rape"?
  • That lady that filed a complaint against you at work for being "rude", did you mull over the idea of raping her?
  • Would you like to rape anyone on the forums? (Hint. :cheeky:) (Although, is it rape when it's consensual?)

    Finally...
  • How's the family life? Brothers, sisters? Good relations with your folks? Any lady in the life? Planning to rape her & have little raped children? Anything?

Once again, congrats dude, thanks for the really kind words, you keep making me all sentimental. You even did that in the last shoutout. Thanks for letting me be me. Here's to you big fella, (B)

Thanks Jackal. I should've seen those questions coming though. Nevertheless, here we go...

Jackal wrote:What are your thoughts on the issue of "rape"?

Well...it's wrong, a serious crime and I'd never consider committing it. I must admit, I haven't given it much more thought than that.

Jackal wrote:That lady that filed a complaint against you at work for being "rude", did you mull over the idea of raping her?

Can't say that I did. Just left a note on her account warning fellow techs about her being a problematic customer. I'm very much the "Dante Hicks" kind of person when it comes to customer service.

Jackal wrote:Would you like to rape anyone on the forums?

We've been through this before. I'm very flattered, but I don't swing that way. Sorry man.

Jackal wrote:How's the family life? Brothers, sisters? Good relations with your folks? Any lady in the life? Planning to rape her & have little raped children? Anything?

All's well, thanks. (Y) A couple of my friends got engaged recently which is awesome but I'm not in a rush to do the same myself just yet.

Woh, that came out of nowhere. Glad to be noticed though.

20.000 is a buttload, and you do a great job. But seriously, Paul Pierce should be made the bestest ever in your rosters. Because he got stabbed alot a few years ago.
