Hmm, I might have to reconsider renting it. Damn you NLSC, damn you I says.

Damn I missed a lot of good movies this year. The only thing I remember that I liked was 40 yr old virgin, wedding crashers, flightplan, coach carter and cinderella man
Wed Jan 18, 2006 1:29 pm
I'm with Jackal on this one, Wedding Crashers sucked ass, only good thing was the guy got shot in the ass for making such a bad movie.
The Island was not bad, same with the Longest Yard
Wed Jan 18, 2006 1:32 pm
I didn't really say it sucked ass, I haven't seen it yet.
Wed Jan 18, 2006 1:57 pm
Oh yeah, you said something about a nose not making it funny.
Wed Jan 18, 2006 2:23 pm
Longest Yard. It was ok. Typical sports movie....although it was fun seeing Kevin Nash being gay and all. Also the big guy in there, the monster who was in solitary or something, was just signed by the WWE.

That movie was...awesome! I have it in my pc as well as 40 year old virgin, another great movie. I also loved Star Wars Episode III

i dont think i saw any movies this year
Wed Jan 18, 2006 7:38 pm
King Kong was the biggest self cock sucking movie I have ever seen...
It was like watching a movie full of left overs from Lord of the rings..that and it went on for 3.5 fucken hours... big gaps in the story which jsut forced you to assume shit.. like how they manage to drag king kong back to new york.

That's easy, they asked Hitler to loan them some bomber planes & just tied & air lifted him over. Duh.

best movies of 2005 -
the producers - i thought this movie was better than the original one. great stuff by nathan lane, broderick and will ferrell
batman begins - that's how batman's supposed to be. the last 2 batmans with val kilmer and clooney were just horrible -- not so much the acting, but the script was just terrible. they made gotham city look like nighttime in new york city. gotham city is supposed to be dark (figuratively) and i'm ecstatic they brought back that element to the story.
wedding crashers - bahaha. i think vince vaughn stole the show. lots of great improv in this movie. rachel mcadams looks ridiculously hot in this movie.
crash - i saw it after everyone said it was great movie. it was good, but i thought it was a little bit overhyped. great script though, loved how everything tied in at the end.
saw II - my favourite one out of the list. i was trying to predict what was going to happen but i totally got thrown offguard at the end. pure genius.
honourable mentions:
sin city, hitch, 40 year old virgin, 4 brothers

The Producers looks like a great movie, it's being released here at the cinemas in a few days, one of the only movies i'd like to watch this summer.
Stewie Griffin's movie was not bad, just typical Family Guy.
I just "got" Napolean Dynamite, watched the first 10 mins. And I'm sick of it. "How was school today?" "The WORST day of my life, what do you think it was?!"
Gay.

Wedding Crashers
Batman Begins
Sums up my list right there.

Well, me too, except I'm a DVD kind of guy

Holy shit, I just watched Napolean Dynamite and that shit was whack. No way known that was a funny movie. My friend kept telling me about how good it was, it was terrible. Except the dancing at the end.
Thu Jan 19, 2006 3:16 am
Sin City was the biggest pile of steaming shit with a side of diaorrhea.
Thu Jan 19, 2006 3:17 am
Even the dancing went too long. I posted this at IMDB when I first saw it:
I bought it due to all of the hype and it's probably the most boring movie I've ever watched. There were a few times when I laughed and they were very isolated incidents. I know it's not your typical comedy, and normally I don't go for your typical comedy but I pretty much found this poor and I am still annoyed that I actually paid to own it. I think the main problem is that none of the characters are remotely likeable.
Napoleon isn't just a nerd, he's not just completely socially inept but he's a jackass to go with it. How many nerds did you guys know in school who were assholes at the same time? I know I didn't meet any. There was nothing likeable about him... Kip creeped me out. He was more child molester than internet geek, Deb was plain and boring, Uncle Rico was a loser and I think the only character I remotely liked was Pedro and he was as boring as batshit too.

Can't disagree with anything there. Just change buy with "get" and that'll be my comment.

I thought Wedding Crashers was a good movie but not great. The best parts of the movie were the ones with Vince Vaughn. He is money whenver he gets to play these "Trent from Swingers" roles.
Unless it was a scene with Vaughn, I thought Owen Wilson was a buzzkill for the movie. The 2 had great chemistry but i don't think Wilson could carry a scene without Vaughn
I thought Crash was a great movie. Not the type you go see at the theater or watch on a friday nite. Very great script, well acted.
Revenge of the Sith has to be up there as one my favs since finally the Stars Wars series finally had it's resolution/conclusion
Anything Christian Bale is in is generally a good movie
Thu Jan 19, 2006 9:07 am
My fav. movies of 2005 are (in no specific order)....
Star Wars Ep. III
The Wedding Crashers
40 Year old Virgin
Sin City
The Interpreter
Crash
King Kong
That was the first Stars Wars I ever watched and I have seen every one since. I would say thats my fav for the year.
Thu Jan 19, 2006 9:45 am
As gay as this sounds, I just bought Kicking and Screaming on DVD. I love Will Farrell!
Thu Jan 19, 2006 10:31 am
i'm probably the biggest will ferrell fan but i gotta admit, kicking and screaming was pretty bad
Sat Jan 21, 2006 3:02 pm
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
King Kong
Batman Begins
Cinderella Man
Sat Jan 21, 2006 3:29 pm
I saw Memoirs Of A Geisha last night... yeah, won't be one I'll put into Best Movies of 06.
