Sorry, have to disagree there. Offering an apology or changing one's stance does not affect one's innocence when a crime has been committed. And if innocence was based upon someone simply saying they didn't do something, there'd be no use for the whole legal system.

Firstly i believe that executions are wrong. No man should have the right to take another mans life.

Secondly, when you take a mans life away you have to be 100% sure that he did the crime. This case has some doubt over it which is a reason they should have changed his sentence.

Guilty or innocent, the jurors were 12 white people which pretty much meant guilty anyway.

I thought I read somewhere that he said he was actually enjoying his time in prison, which shocked me. If he is enjoying his time then he deserves death. He shouldn't have to "suffer" in prison. That isn't what it is about. He should not be able to feel pain or happiness. THAT is what it is about. He shouldn't have an option to feel happy or sad, he should feel nothing. People who think he is changed because he wrote those books, how about the fact that he wouldn't admit guilt or give information on gang members and crimes? If he really wanted gangs to stop he would give the police details about how to stop them, right now. Plus, he has a long track record (atleast 12) of violence in prison. He certainly doesn't sound like a guy who is changed.

Tookie Williams killed a man with a shutgun (two shots to the back) and then later laughed when he told his friends how the victim gurgled as he lay dying there. He was a cold blooded killer and he didn't change. Why do you value his life over the victims?
