The Phobia Thread

After having a near death experience, and watching Titanic at a young age, i am afraid of the water. People ask me in school why i don't swim but i just make up a stupid lie, too ashamed to tell my deep secret.
P.S. I exaggerted on the "near death experience" part.

Well, I guess I'm scared of heights, but not really. If there's any sort of stable protection from me falling, I have no problem whatsoever (see pic of me in Post a Pic of Yourself thread, that bridge is a couple hundred feet up and I ran across it and made it shake. Good times :lol:

), but if there's nothing stopping me from falling, I freeze up.

That's what happened when I free fell off an airplane, my brain pretty much stopped before the parachute shot off. Apparently I passed the jump, and they gave me a certificate to go up to more higher and advanced jumping options

I'm not big-time scared of anything in particular. I like heights, I don't mind various crawling thigns (I don't like them, I'm just neutral), and unlike wisdom_kid I love to swim and whatnot.

But the thing that grates me the wrong way more than anything else is stupidity and lack of common sense. There's people at my school in the IB (smart people) program who have no common sense that I consider stupid. They bother me. Then again there's a couple guys who have an average of about 65 who are great guys. Especially Max.
