The Kyoto Protocol is a joke and is completly flawed. Not to mention, China is the 2nd highest emitter of greenhouse gases. How does China get energy for 1 billion people? They burn a shit load of coal. America is doing things to help the environment (they are doing more than Canada), but the Kyoto Protocol is just another stupid treaty by the United Nations.

This generally shows how ignorant and racist the standard American is. No wonder Bin Laden wanted to bomb the shit out of your country.

Don't hold all Americans to my amazingly low standard. However, saying "no wonder Bin Laden wanted to bomb the shit out your country" is an ignorant comment. So therefore, you are no better than the "standard American".

As awful as this sounds, and I wish I didn't have to say this, I'm glad that 9/11 happened. I mean, I'm certainly not happy that all those lives were lost and the WTC was taken out of the sky but now America has adopted a zero tolerance policy when it comes to terrorism.

There is always motive behind hate... perhaps you've always been beaten academically in school by Chinese people? It's quite embarassing for me, since I was born in Canada, and is getting beat in English by a international Taiwanese student.

The one child limit is absoutely awful. First off, I don't believe people should be told how many children they can have.

Slip on a condom or use a birth control pill. Having one fucking billion people in one country is unbelievable.

I sense a contradiction... which of the two dilemma would you choose, the fact that Chinese parents should have freedom to have whatever # child they want, or the fact they should use condoms and stop having so many children?

As for 1 billion people, if we look at it historically, China's been around for a long, long, long time, as in thousands of years, and compare that with the United States, who have been around for a few hundred years. If the States were around for thousands of years, I wouldn't be surprised if they hit the 1 billion people mark, taking land territory into consideration.

They have the right to have as many children as they want but they should also be educated on birth control. Correct me if I'm wrong, but China has a large amount of orphans because of that.

They're facing a problem that's very difficult to resolve. What's the best solution to deal with this? I'm sure that most of the population are educated in using condoms and are aware of the 1 child only family program, but how can you efficiently control a country that's facing extreme overpopulation while still maintaining the citizen's freedom?

But that's my point, how can they reduce the population growth efficiently? If they really want to cut back, they could kill off anybody 60 years or older, kill off the mentally and physically disabled, kill off students who do poorly in school, and kill off every 2nd born baby.

You know how much money the US makes out of China? Why? Due to their large population China has always been US's target. I mean, more population means more products, and more products mean more money, and of course money wins over everything.
